Many of us have been e-mailing and writing snail mail to Disney to complain about this change and ask them to reinstitute the longer hopper passes. Please join us! e-mail to:

The e-mail seems to generate a fairly standard return e-mail.
I received a personal phone call last week in response to my snail mail. The change is indeed in response to the "out of control" selling/renting of the longer hopper passes.
My point was not only that this illegal practice should not punish those of us who are honest, and that people who are staying at resort hotels or good neighbor hotels have reservatiosn that can be confirmed, but also that Disney is losing a great deal of money in food and shopping on those "extra" days that people spend with longer hopper passes. Like you, we would have bought longer hopper passes for 2 partial days in the park, but are not going to spend the extra $ to buy additional tickets or an annual pass for 2 partial days. I think reminding Disney of the reasons why they want to sell longer hopper passes is a good thing to include when you write.
