Does 10pm DME cut off still apply if plane is early?

Just wondering if they go by scheduled time or actual arrival? Our plane is supposed to arrive at 10:06. I want to know if they will take the bags if we get in at say 9:45?

I assume I won't want to tag the bags if that's the case since I don't want a delivery at 3 am?

Supposedly they are done with their shift at 10 (at least that's how I've read it). Though there have been some circumstances of a plane being late but tagged bags still being picked up. But...

Since the plane is scheduled to arrive after 10 you wouldn't tag the bags.

Since you don't want a delivery very late at night/early in the morning, you wouldn't tag the bags.

So don't tag the bags. Just pick them up and walk 'em to the bus. :)

Or, our fave option, hire a porter and point out your bags and let the porter do the heavy lifting. If you're unfamiliar with DME, s/he will lead you to where you need to be and you can just sleepily follow. :)

If for some reason they were to pick them up, you wouldn't see them until the next day- in our experience. We arrived around 7pm and still didn't get our bags until midnight. I wish we had just grabbed them.

You can always ask at the front desk/bell service for the bags to be held until morning as to avoid a middle of the night delivery. Last year we got to The Fort around 9p around 1220p I noticed the message light on the phone blinking, after a certain time they can make it that the phone does not ring and goes right to voicemail, telling us our bags were there and they could either bring them right in or wait until the morning. I asked them to being them on up and within 5 min they were there.

Especially for evening arrivals always pack for that night and the next day. Then once up in the AM call and ask for them to be delivered.

This year we arrive at MCO at 6p but will still pack for that night and the next day.

No matter when you are scheduled to arrive, you should pack a carry on with stuff to take you through the next morning, including a change of clothes. Bags get lost at all times of day. You should always be prepared.
