I'm sure this topic has been discussed many times, but for some reason I'm so worried I won't have the right documents and be denied crossing the border or being denied on the ship!
Can someone tell me what we need in terms of documents?

We are travelling (hubby and I) and our daughter to FL then going on a Disney cruise.

We all have passports, and hubby and I have driver's licenses.

A lot of the state sites talk about birth certificates. Do we need those? They also talk about a raised seal on the birth certificates. We don't have those on any of our certificates. I'm assuming that's different for Canadian certificates. Do we need an alternate ID for our daughter or is the passport for her sufficient?

Thanks for your help in advance.

If you have passports you will be fine. They have taken our passports at checkin on the cruise and we picked them back up at the end of the cruise. They give you a receipt for the passports which we just left in the safe in our room. You'll use your Driver's Licence as picture ID although with your KTTW card to get back onto the ship after a port visit.

You won't need the birth certificates so don't worry about the seal thing.

Have a great time.

You might want to take birth certificates also, just put them in a different spot than your passports.

Friends of ours went on a cruise last winter, lost their passports in the airport on the way to port, birth certificates saved the trip! When they got home their passports were waiting in the mail.
