We're planning on staying at Dockside next month. My husband is very concerned about working out every morning (he has a bike race the Saturday after we return from Orlando). I've tried searching for photos of Dockside's fitness center online with no luck. Does anyone know what the Dockside fitness center is like?

We stayed at Cabana Bay years ago and loved their fitness center. I'd rather save a few extra bucks by staying at Dockside, but would consider changing if the Dockside fitness center doesn't have stationary bikes.

TIA for any input :)

I was able to find these photos online:

If no one else can provide more information, I will be at Dockside March 28-30 and have two rehab runs scheduled for the trip. Pass along any specific information that you might be looking for and I'm willing to scout it out. (The added bonus for me is that it will make me actually do the runs. I often pack running clothes/shoes, but don't always wind up using them.)

Thanks for those pictures! I'm not sure why I couldn't find those. They are helpful, but I still cannot figure out how many bikes are available. Not that I expect it to be busy - I'm thinking most people don't workout during an amusement park vacation - but if you think about it and can let me know how many bikes you see that would be awesome :) Thanks! I hope this keeps you committed to your runs!

I can't figure that out either. I usually do my warm up on a bike so I was looking for them as well. I will definitely look and report back.

I do know that it is possible to call the hotel directly and find out what equipment they have. A few years ago, I was staying at Cabana Bay while doing one of the Disney half marathons and I was wondering if they had foam rollers in the fitness center so I didn't have to bring one. I called the hotel and was stunned that the person answering the phone was a) actually at the hotel and b) was willing to put me on hold and go to the fitness center to check. (Spoiler alert: they do have them). I remain very impressed by that level of service.

@mommajen08 Here are the photos that I promised.

The fitness center is relatively small, but stocked with most of the basic equipment that a gym would have. The bikes and treadmills have a fair number of settings and functions (see my second post for photos of the screens)

My only complaint was that it was hot, hot, HOT there. I don't know if there was a setting for the air that wasn't working or needed to be adjusted, but I only in there for around 30 minutes and I was dripping with sweat.

@sandam1 Thank you for the wonderful photographs! This is extremely helpful. My husband has looked everything over and now has a good understanding of what to expect when we get to Orlando later this month. I am sure these photos will help many others, too.

Thanks again! I hope you had a great time at Universal!
