Do Your Teenage Boys Still Enjoy Disney?

I have a 15 year old son and he is SICK of Disney. We are going again in October but for the first time we are going to hit Universal to try that as well. I feel bad that I have such a bad Disney obsession but we are trying new things this year as well. Next week, we are doing Sea World, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove and he is SUPER EXCITED and ready for this trip!

My boys are 16 and almost 14. Our first trip was when they were 5 and 7 and next month will be trip number seven for us. So it hasn't been every year, but it has been for the last few. They love it! They're going next spring with the high school band as well. We go on other smaller trips, but their "big" trip preference is always Disney. I think it feels like home to them. They're comfortable there, they know their way around. And they honestly love the spectacle, the shows, the food, everything about it. I thought they'd outgrow it and not want to go, but it hasn't happened yet!

My daughter (20) and twin boys (18) still love Disney. They still believe in the "magic" of the place. Could be because my husband is the BIGGEST Disney fan and really a kid at heart…he has heavily influenced their attitude toward WDW. Two of our trips to Orlando included US which they also love…they can certainly get their thrill ride fix there. We're planning our seventh trip for January and no one is complaining. :-)

We took two of our boys when they were 9 and 17, respectively. The younger one has never wanted to go back (we were there for a week and he was ready to go home after day 3). The other one, just turned 36, would probably go every week if he could. Their older brother owns DVC but he never had any desire to go as a teenager. He was more the Universal type.

I took my nephews when they were 14 and 16. They loved it but it was also their first time visiting. They also spend a fair amount of time primping and smiling at the teenage girls!

I enjoyed Disney in high school, in college, and still today as an adult. My own kids are too young to start worrying about this yet, but I'll be more than happy to just go with my wife and no kids when they no longer want to lol

My 16 year old nephew loves WDW. :cheer2: It is in his blood. Never had a chance. His parents and I are Disney fanatics, and WDW is our happy place. He has already said when he goes off to college that we can't go without him. We only do WDW not any of the other area attractions. :earsboy: His siblings are following right in his footsteps.

My boys are 12 and almost 15. They have been to Disney 18 times. They still love it, but they are raised by Disney loving parents so they see our love for it. As they have gotten older, they also like Universal. I think they will always love Disney because of the feeling they get there.

My wife and I just got back , 5 nights, 3 Day Park Hoppers, w my 19 year old College son and his 18 year old girlfriend. We all had a great time. Spent most nights at Epcot.

My oldest stopped liking WDW at about 15 and even now at 33 still doesn't want to go. His wife will go with us and he will go off and visit Orlando army buddies by himself. Our 25 year old DS still loves going and is going to the Food and Wine with us in September. Our DD who is 19 loves Universal and has already been 4 times this year from Indiana while she was in college. She has a season pass. Her roommate loves it as much as she does and has one more trip than DD has this year!

My son is 19 and only wants Universal parks, Busch Gardens, Seaworld. My daughter is 10 (almost 11) and is already headed that way.

My son's last trip to Disney was when he was 15. (He's now 17) While he enjoyed it as a child, he has no desire to return, and didn't even enjoy the last trip. On our last few trips he's opted to stay home. :sad1:

Mine don't they outgrew it somewhere between 10 and 12.

Luckily they still love the resorts and the waterparks so we still go but park time is very limited and we have much more cocktails by the pool time which I'm all for.

My DS is 14 and he still enjoys our WDW trips, but he prefers Uni. We have to split our week between both so that we're both happy. The last couple of years, we've spent time in other destinations and he seems to like changing it up, but the annual WDW trip is always in the books. He's been begging to go back to Disneyland for Xmas, so, no I guess he's not outgrowing Disney anytime soon. (We've gone 2 Xmas' in a row)

I have a 19 year old dd and a 12 yr old ds. DD is as excited as she ever was. DS still really enjoys it but I can see him starting to lose the excitement he once had. Both my kids equally love Universal now, and are just as, if not more, excited to go there. I guess I can't complain, they are pretty easy to please and just happy to keep going back. DS now wants to try other destinations and vacations too so we are branching out.
