I have to laugh at what dd's favorite quote is right now..
'you're not the mom' or 'you're not the dad'..
whenenver one is telling the other what to do, this is the reply they receive from each other...:jester:

Have heard my teen age ds say "SILLY GOOSE" while on the phone with some girl...

hmm wonder where he got that from???;) ;)

Mine is in my signature...

I also like the expression You're not the boss of me...

I call my female cat Silly Goose all the time but she doesn't mind;)

I don't have kids but my niece always says...Give me a break!

My oldest keeps saying, "I'm almost 18, you don't have to tell me what to do, or I shouldn't have a curfew, or something else."

I our house, it is understood that just because you DO something stupid, doesn't mean you ARE stupid. But one day, after my DD 14 was testing the boundries of this to the extreme, I was so mad I spit out "Don't be stupid!!" to which she sang the reply...."you know I love you!" like Shania Twain. Made me laugh and angry at the same time.

My 6 yo is into to saying "It's a free world you know"...but this comes after I tell her to do something, she asks why then says no and her little phrase....drives me nuts.

Since she started talking (which was WAY too early:rolleyes: ) Her famous saying was "you're not the boss of me!!"...had to laugh at Photobears reply....cause it was right on!! That was the first phrase I thought of when I read the post!!!....She hasn't used it in a while (thank goodness)

DD has one that makes me crazy. She rolls her eyes  and says "No, Mom, do you think I'm THAT stupid?" At which point I have to say, "No, I don't think you're THAT stupid, but I'm the parent and I have to ask, it's my job." Teenagers.

It's usually a catch phrase from a movie he loves or a TV show OR the bible...

Excuuuse You? from Steve Harvey

Oh, so NOW you're running? -- Men In Black

And one of my faves

If God is for me, who can be against me?

My DD7 comback when I tell her to pick up her mess.....
"I am not Cinderella"

When I tell her no...
"Rules, rules, rules"

The big thing from my 8 year old right now is, "I know Mommy, uh duh!"

A cuter one is that he says "tartar sauce" where most people would use a word like "darn!"

My dd loves to quote lines (or sometimes paragraphs, lol) from movies or lyrics from songs. I cannot believe the number of them she knows and she usually cracks me up saying funny ones at the most unexpected times. Right now she is full of quotes from the scooby doo movie. But the men in black movies are favorites to quote from too, lol.

My daughter 11, used to always say "butt naked" instead of buck naked. It always made me laugh, but she'd huff that butt made lots more sense.

ADDICTED.. I LOVE the use of "tartar sauce"!!!!:D :)

Would you mind if I tried it out here at home.. I am in need of something to help cure my swearing??.. bad joan.. bad joan....

My almost 6 yr old DD (on Sat) always says "What the???" I told her she watches too many cartoons.

Addicted.... I bet your 8 year old watches Sponge Bob!!!!

Melinda

"HELLO!!!!!" seems to be John-Cole's favorite for the moment. Used in the same sense as "DUH"

We also have the "now dead" Stone Cold "WHAT????" and then I'll come back with "Its True Its True" He also takes the "I am that damned good" from HHH minus the damned of course.

14 yr. old DS opens his mouth and all that ever comes out is: "Feed me." Drives me up the wall....................

17 yr. old DD - when you bust her for something: "My bad." Drives me up the wall..........................

I'm up the wall - a lot!!!!!

Pam

Yep, my DS is a Spongebob fan. :)

Another one he uses is from Keenan and Kel

"who likes orange soda?
Kel likes orange soda
Is it true
mmmm.mmmm
I do I do I do"

He just substitutes whatever someone has asked him if he likes.

Anytime my ds talks to his dad about his sister, he refers to her as 'your daughter' as in "Do you know what YOUR daughter did?" "Guess what your daughter is doing.", etc.

Oh, my kids say a lot of things...

"You're not the boss of me" comes from my baby (5 years old) to my son (7 almost 8 years old)

"I need to be respectful" said with this:rolleyes: is common with my son.
