Horsegirl-
I came over to the community board as you asked in your post on the trip reports board. I truly appreciate your telling us why you go to the World, as many of us feel the same way about our kids. My DH and I are awaiting the arrival of our new daughter tomorrow, about 3pm. We are adopting a 5yo girl (my friends niece) and we have a bio daughter age 6. I understand about your wanting to keep the kids together. Just like your little Stitch-"Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind." You sound like a great mom and I am glad to get to know you better through your trip report.
My DD6 is crazy about animals-dogs, cats, horses, fish-you name it. She says she wants to be a vet when she grows up. DD5 says she wants to be an MD. Apparantely, DH and I are going to be in the poorhouse!!! But I will do everything I can to take them to the World every now and again and let them be kids and enjoy some time with mom and dad without all the outside distractions of work, school, real life.
It is amazing that when people hear we are adopting, the first thing they ask (after what country is the kid from??

), is which one of us has the problem with fertility. We don't have one. We just wanted to expand our family and this opportunity is a blessing for both DD and us. DD6 has been to the world twice now, but DD5 (even though she lived in FL) has never been. What a wonderful thing this will be to see it through her eyes as she experiences it for the first time. How lucky I am.
Sorry to babble on but I thank you for your trip report and for sharing with the rest of us Disers.
Veronica
