I saw a post that was asking for suggestions for stocking stuffers. I usually wrap my families stocking stuffers and place them in each stocking. Sometimes this gets to be tedious wrapping up each lipgloss or whatever. So I was wondering if anyone else does this or do you just fill up the stockings with misc goodies? What does your family do?

Hi TLG - How is your Grandson doing??

It's Santa's first year to visit a wee one here in our home so he will probably stick a few small goodies unwrapped in there.

DGS is doing well. We changed things around a bit and he seems to do better with new schedule. We only have him overnight 2 days a week now on average instead of 3-4 and it works out better for his mommy and him. We still watch him on Mondays from 9-2:30. DH or I go to his house then he comes to ours on Tuesday through Thursday at noon. Its still a lot of time away frim his mom but its better then it was.

We can't wait to take him to WDW in January. Counting down the weeks.
Thanks for asking about him. Hope you have a nice holiday with your wee one. Enjoy every minute!

Growing up everything in our stockings was wrapped in my house, but in DH's nothing in stockings was wrapped. We go a middle route with our children - chapstick, gum, other little items get tossed in as-is, but anything bigger gets wrapped.

None of the gifts even get wrapped (they're all from Santa - the only gifts they receive from us are matching jammies Christmas Eve.).

By the time I get to the stockings, I've had enough of wrapping usually. So I don't wrap the little stuff, like Hot Wheels etc. If it's big enough and easy to wrap I will.

My mom usually wraps the bigger items...like a pair of cute socks, jewelry, etc. If she has a few of one thing (like a few lip glosses) she will wrap them all together. She combines all of that with unwrapped things...like candy, cute pens, etc.

I always found the little wrapped presents to be a fun intro. to the big presents! :rotfl:

We wrap most of the gifts in the stocking. Occasionally a little small thing won't be wrapped.

We've never had stockings in our house. But this year maybe we will start! I don't really have anywhere to hand them though..........

Yep, we wrap them all. Except for the candy unless it is something unusual. We usually do inexpensive things like lipgloss, socks and small toys. Then we open the stocking before breakfast to let the kids get a present fix. After breakfast we sit around the tree and open presents 1 at a time to make the morning last as long as possible. :thumbsup2

I hang them on the wall.

My parents used to hang mine on the bedpost. One year the hanging loop broke and it fell. There is nothing like waking up at 3:00 am to the sound of walnuts and pecans bouncing all over your hardwood floors. :lmao:

All stocking stuffers are wrapped in tissue paper - a different color for each person. Santa brings the stocking and 1 large unwrapped gift/per person. :santa: Everything else is wrapped under the tree and is either from mom & dad or their siblings.

I use stocking hangers and hang them from a shelf. Of course, once they are filled, they are too heavy to hang, so Santa just sets the full stocking on the pile of gifts. :santa:

Oh, and he doesn't wrap stocking stuff. He wraps all other gifts except for maybe one big one--AND he has his own wrapping paper!

Santa wraps nearly every stocking stuffer in tissue paper - mostly white but some red or green or striped. He maybe leaves a Santa candy sticking out of the top unwrapped.

Santa also has his own wrapping paper for presents at our house.....and he stores about 20 rolls of it (enough for the next 15 years I hope) in the attic off the attic.

We are giving less packages this year, so to extend the fun, we'll be wrapping the stocking stuffers. That is all I have to buy now! Yahoo!

This year the only stocking stuffers my girls are getting will be DS games, maybe 5 a piece, so yes they will get wrapped.

I usually do $1 or $2 gifts for stocking stuffers, and each of my girls gets 3 or 4 gifts in their stocking. The stocking gifts can be opened Christmas Eve, once we get back from Church and dinner.

Santa also wraps his presents (in a special wrapping paper!). The only gifts under the tree for the kids are the gifts they buy for each other.

I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping - and I really got a lot of things that I know they are going to LOVE!!! Can't wait til Christmas morning!!!!!!!
