Do You Worry About Your ADRs?

Since I initially made my ADRs I've called back and made changes several times. Not to mention calling regularly to try to get into a couple of places that were all full. Each time I call I secretly worry that somehow all my ADRs are going to get wiped out:scared1:.

I assume that the CM has all my ADRs on the screen when I call since I punch in my phone # --is that how it works?:confused3 I'm so afraid they'll accidently hit some delete button :scared1:.

Anyone else neurotic like me?

I really wasn't too worried till I started reading posts about people calling to check on their adrs and Disney Dining had messed them up or didn't have them at all.Now I have my TA calling to check to make sure they are all there and correct.Especially during free dining , I probably wouldn't find anything at this point.

after i've made my ADRs (and had them repeat them all back to me while still on the phone, with confirmation #s, etc) i won't call back until a week before we leave to confirm - less chance of the ADRs being "accidentally" messed up, plus if there is a problem, you're still at home and can (hopefully) fix it - once we arrive and check-in, i get a print-out at the front desk and check it with my own print-out from home (not that i don't trust them....;) )

When I made a change a couple of weeks ago I had her read back everything and all was fine. I'll also get the front desk printout. I wonder what happens if reservations "disappear" and the guest says they never cancelled them?

I had a ressie at Narcoossee's on 5/1 at 8pm and 5/2 at 8pm. On 4/30, we decided to book the Wanyama safari on 5/2 which included dinner so I called and cancelled our 5/2 ADR - USING THE CONFIRMATION # PROVIDED FOR THAT MEAL.

Imagine my surprise when we showed up on 5/1 for DH 80th b'day when they had NO RESSIE FOR US! :scared1: I was so upset I was ready to cry. I explained what transpired and saw the computer screen where all my ressies were listed. Sure enough, the person who cancelled my ressie saw both and must have clicked on the wrong one. I was even more upset b'c I was standing in line and heard the host turn away several guests looking to get in that evening and thought that would be our fate as well for this special occasion! However, the host understood what happened and said he would get us in and to go to the bar and wait. (Then I thought we'll get pushed in a corner somewhere, there won't be a special menu for DH, there won't be a special dessert celebration, etc.) After settling in at the bar, I went back to the host and asked about the special birthday menu and he said they were working on it. After about 10 minutes, we were seated - not by a window but the next table in which was just fine for viewing the electric water pageant. We were handed custom menus in honor of DH's b'day. At dessert, DH got a candel in his dessert.

I'm sure I was lucky to get in after such a fiasco! :cool2:

I've always had one each trip that is somehow "off". Our last trip they were mangled. We had dinner at the castle and the day was wrong. Luckily, we've always been able to be accommodated. After I found out that the Castle was wrong, she checked my others and they were way, way off. Wrong days, wrong times (including different meals), wrong restaurants, some completely missing, etc. I went to MK guest relations and they were able to fix most of it. The CMs told me that for some reason they had been having a lot of problems with the ADRs lately (then Dec. 2007).

So, yeah, I worry now. A lot. I check all of them whenever I add or make a change. I'll call and confirm a couple of weeks out and get a print out right when I check in. The biggest problems is being somewhere that you aren't supposed to be or anything pre-paid.

I just wish it could be handled, or at least checked, online. The software exists.

If you have a confirmation #, and the name of the person who you made the ressie with, Disney is NO WAY not going to seat you.

Want to make a bet? If they don't have room, they don't have room. It doesn't do you any good if the information connected to that confirmation number is wrong. And as far as the CMs name that made the ressie, who is to say you didn't change your mind and just show up on another day or time when it was more convenient? You really have to trust they got it right and if they didn't, something can be worked out.

I agree. I certainly don't want anyone's job phased out, but if they could just at least have the functionality to check & print the reservations I'd be grateful. As it is now I have to treat my ADRs as "you probably have reservations" just for my peace of mind until I have a hardcopy.

I've stated over and over again that they could add a few more IT people and the whole reservation system would run smoother (heavens--the whole Disney website would run smoother.) Don't guess that will happen.
