Check out this site. I bought at least 4 pair since 2008. My Orthopedist recommended rocker type shoes for my neuropathy and they do help but heck if they are going to send me back $40 or $50 I can get another pair or two. Reebock used to make rocker shoes that looked like regular shoes but had a lump at the arch until they came out with these huge walkers. I hope they bring back the rockers because I can't afford the $250 a pair for the special made ones.
Right now I have a pair of Sketchers and a pair of Filas. I found Reebok Shape-Ups on clearance at Kohls but they didn't have my size in that store. I am going tomorrow to get myself a new pair since my Sketchers are wearing down.
The saleslady at Kohls said they are not stocking any shape-up type shoes any longer since they don't sell very well. They are definately ugly but I feel the difference when I go out in regular shoes instead of my rockers.

I have a pair of Reebok EasyTone and like them. I agree with you about the Sketchers Shape-Up, they look really ugly.

Skechers makes a shoe like the EasyTones. I really like them for helping to adjust my ankles and they are comfoy an NOT ugly.

I guess you didn't see the news report.

Reebok just had to pay a 25 million fine because the claims are bogus.

Those sneakers do not do any more to shape up your gluts or your legs than regular sneakers.

They are still planning on selling them but they can no longer make claims of any health benefits.

Can you use a health savings account to cover the cost of the sneakers since you have a medical issue?

I wear Sketcher Shape Ups and every few months they go on sale buy one get one half off which makes them more affordable. I also buy the "work" ones with the no slip bottom since I wear them at work, I am a nurse. A lot of RNs wear them, you should try the Sketcher brand. You can get them at a sketcher store or online.

I wish I could but I am on disability and don't have a health savings. But so far the shape up shoes work for me.
dakcp2001..where do they have that sale, I would grab some then. I live in CT so hopefully it is a chain store that is around here. I usually get my shape ups, Fila or Sketchers at Kohls. I am lucky in that either my son or I get the 30% each time so I buy the shoes then and they usually are on sale too. But now Kohls won't be selling any brand of "toning" shoes so I have to find somewhere else.
I did try the Payless brand once...once, they were terrible.

I use reebok runtones not because I think they'll tone my butt but I read that they were good on the knees so I thought I'd give it a go [have bad knee torn miniscus surgery never better after].....

and I LOVE them.

I am finally able to run without knee pain most of the time. You can't tell they're toning shoes at all.

I have the Reebok Easy tones (actually the ones in the Huffington Post picture!). I was looking for the Run tones, but they didn't have those in my size. I walk in them and do see a difference in the way my leg muscles were before. I bought Reebok because they aren't nearly as ugly as the Sketchers. I got them from Hibbett's. They were on sale for $40 instead of the $100 DD20 paid for hers.

I never bought into the hype that they would tone my legs but they are super comfortable - like walking on a cushion so I love them!
