Do you wear Foundation? If so what kind?

I like Cover Girl...the classic one, Clean Makeup. but when I want to splurge I buy Lancome.

So how do I know WHICH BE to get? I'm looking on ebay. What all do I need for the foundation? Also do you wear powder over the foundation? Do I need the conceler brush and the regular brush? I'm really just interested in foundation since I like everything else I use. Can someone guide me on what to buy?

I wouldn't dare buy it off ebay. Since computer monitors vary with color, I'd be afraid I'd get the wrong shade.

Do you have an Ulta near you? They carry BE, at least the one here does. I'd get it off QVC before ebay.

I have nothing here!! If its not sold at Wal-Mart or the grocery store I don't have it. I'll look on QVC. I don't even know what an Ulta is. Sad isn't it. I live in hell!

Ulta is a fairly large store that sells nothing but make-up, shampoo, conditioner, perfume, etc. They also have a salon in the back for hair styling, etc.

Have you tried QVC's website yet?

My suggestion (if it can be done) is to buy the kit that Sephora sells. It is really the best deal because you get the brushes. Here is the link: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P116623&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5737

I bought my mom the $45 kit from Ulta and I should have gotten the Sephora kit because she had to go out and buy the Kabuki brush separately ($25) and she didn't get a concealor brush or the skin brightener. If you are very fair (and I mean VERY fair) you would get the "Light" kit. If you are somewhat fair to medium tone, get the Medium Kit. Anything darker and you go to the darker colors. My friend and I are a bit fair (we burn in the sun--I tan, she doesn't) and we both found the Fair to be too light for us. I do well the medium.

I think it's important to have both the foundation and the Mineral Veil. I love the Mineral Veil.

Also, I never have used my concealer brush. I use cream concealer that I buy elsewhere.

I would try to get my color in person first THEN when you know your shade you can buy from eBay. They have the best prices.

They also sell samples of shades so if you don't have a store nearby check the samples.

Prescriptives Virtual Skin. :thumbsup2
I have a tough time matching foundation to my skin tone. I'm very pale, but not the blue-pink or yellow tones many fair girls have. So I wear the lightest shade in the Red color family.

I'm sure Bare Escentuals is great, but loose powders are not my friend. I've tried to deal with them, but I just make a mess. Particularly with eye shadows.

Used to use Clinque. Just switched to Mary Kay this year and I love it. Fortunately my neighbor sells it so I don't have to go far.

I dont know nothing about maekup, but when a women does it just write, she owns me :worship:

I have used the OLD Revlon ColorStay forever. I loved it and never had any problems. Will now they've changed it to Colorstay with this new Boto-Firm or whatever. Its not the same and I can't stand it!!!!

So I'm off on the hunt for a new foundation. I don't want anything expensive. I would love to be able to find Cover Girl or Maybelline but I have no idea what to try.

Any advice?
I love Cover GIrl, I just use the origional product, its not expensive, Walmart has the best price. Only 3.50 a bottle.

Clinique superbalanced :thumbsup2 use to be MK, but didnt like it when they switched from the bottles to the tubes, you cant see how much you have left.

All those store brands have animal by-products and fillers like mineral oil that just sit on top of the skin......so I use Arbonne....it's all natural and improves the look of my skin.
