Do you use a hat box?

Hi
My wife has a nice hat that she wants to bring but doesn't want to wear/carry it while traveling. So I am looking for a box I can put in my suitcase or a luggage bag specific for the hat. The former would be more preferable. Crush proof.

The hat is 14" at it's widest and 6" tall.

Any ideas.

A cake box may work depending on how deep your luggage is.

I would use a plastic tote box. That way you know it won't get crushed and it guarantees a happy wife
