Do you understand your spouse's job?

My DW is a Senior Regulatory Advisor and I have no idea what she does. I mean, she's told me what she does but I just don't understand.

My spouse and I have often had the same job. We even worked together for about three years, so not only knew what each other does generally, but we were working on the same projects for the same customers for a time.

We work in the same community in the Federal Gov, but have very different jobs. But, at least I have an idea of what he does. Both our sons do also.

I should just let him talk about it, but people often ask me because he travels so much, and no one is really sure what he does. If he explained it to you right now, you’d still be confused.

Nope. I tell him all the time I don't understand what exactly he does. To me it seems like he just brings people coffee and donuts and takes them out to eat to schmooze them. But according to the pay he brings home, he's either doing a whole lot more I don't know about, or he's also a drug dealer.

For the most part, yes. My wife works in the zoning and code enforcement office of our municipality.

My husband is the head welding instructor at our local community college. His is pretty easy to understand, especially since we also have a home based business of ornamental iron that I help with.

Worked together for 2 years before we started dating, then for 2 years after we started dating.
Worked together the first 7 years we were married.
I moved to a different company, but we have worked in the same industry in the same city for 40+ years.
