Do you try to get "tagged"?

The tags I have are amost a year old now....
Sometimes tho I do write something and when I read it later in the thread I wonder if it'll get "picked up". Nothing has tho......
I guess I'm destined to have my tags remind me of these stupid cold winters I have to endure. I think the tag fairy is messing with my phychie....
I hate the winter and I hate the cold!

The most special tags are the ones that are given from a real post, not when the person was trying to get a tag!

I love reading tags. Sometimes it's easy to figure out what they mean, but others are more obscure. Fun to read regardless!

Actually, I think it is probably a good thing the tag fairy does not hang out in the same corner of the DISboards that I do and notice the crazy things that I sometimes say

Okay, okay! I admit it. I did it a few times before. It worked too. But the Tag Fairy kept changing mine and about 5 others' tags too one night. It was known as Tag Wars, Episode I: The changing of MonorailDude's tags. There were other days and episodes too.

At first I was so excited to possibly get tagged once becomming a DIS Veteran (that's when I thought you were "eligible" to be tagged, however now I am not really sure where I heard that, or whether I just made it up in my mind). Once I did become a veteran, I anxiously awaited the day I might get tagged, checking every post. Time went by (not that much time, but when you're waiting for something it feels a lot longer) and I didn't get one, and I sort of felt left out and sad. But I have come to realize there are many other DIS Veterans that have way more posts than me yet don't have a tag, and if every single person had a tag then it wouldn't have the same value. So I stopped worrying about it, and in the back of my mind I look forward to the day that a tag fairy might notice me and decide to give me a tag of my very own! But no, I do not write comments to try to get a tag...if it happen at all I don't want it to be forced or feel contrived.

No, I don't intentionally try to get tagged - seems kind of planned if I did so. Besides, I'm here because I like the people, the Mouse, and sharing ideas.

What I don't get is how many of us are untagged yet the tag fairies manage to find time to give multiple tags to the same members. On that note, I would think the more senior members or those who post a lot (ie DIS veterans) would seemingly be worthy. Oh well, just thinking out loud.

It sure makes me feel like I am in the 7th grade, though. lol (j/k)

I noticed the same thing. And how the multiple tagged have tags which are not really that interesting or clever. I've seen better from the tagless. As long as I don't need a tag to post, I don't care if I get one or not.

I just LOVE the whole tag concept. I love reading everyone's tag and I was beside myself when I got mine.

I do wish they happen more frequently

I had a couple for a long, long time and got tired of them so deleted them and now I just put things there myself, when I want to change them. It would be nice to be tagged again, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't try. Just like in high school, I'm the person who goes unnoticed during the day. I doubt that I was ever spotted from the tag fairies for my posts. I just enjoy reading and learning from all of your posts.
