Stupid question maybe, but never been before. I'm treating my wife and I to a couples massage this week. $150 for the massage. If you tip, do you tip both masseuse's(sp?), and about how much?

I don't because the woman I go to owns her own buisness- and it's just her. She doesn't take tips. I actually spoke to her about it a few months ago. She said that 'if a person who is doing it is getting paid directly, they should not ever expect a tip'...IF, on the other hand they work for a buisness or a spa and they don't get paid directly, they should get a tip, because out of that $150 you pay, they don't see that money- they only get paid per hour OR per massage...and it's not $150 per hour, that is for sure!

This is what we paid the last time we got a massage and we tipped them each $15.00.

Please don't call a massage therapist a masseuse. ;) (there is a difference, and it's an insult to a PMT to call him/her a masseuse)

I'd go with the standard 15% for a tip, if permitted. I've been to someone twice, both 15 minute sessions over lunch at $1 per minute. I also got my employee discount, so I might have given her the full amount anyway.

Yes, I tip them well, usually 20% of the total bill.

For a double, tip both technicians.
