Do you think we can get away with this?

Jumping back on topic...Nick, since you and jezabelle are Orlando nativeshow about calling a couple of the resorts for the sake of us lay people and finding out what they say about wedding ceremonies in a room???

:figment:

hi again i am sorry if you feel that my tone is aggressive, in the whole it is not and i have no objections to people voicing their opinion, if that were the case Jezzabelle would never have posted the question in the first place. Im mature enought to take on advice.

With regards to what you replied regarding the licensing issue. Would you say then that buying a dvd and watching it on a coach trip with a dozen or so of your friends is ok. Of course not, because its illegal. Its the same with the licensing for software whether it be microsoft or Disney.

I agree with you that we all try to live our lives within the letter of the law and sometimes we may stry outside that, which is why there are trained professionals there to advice us. What im curious about is how much Disney charge for this invitation service and placemat service. I can only comment on regards to how much my partners first wedding at disney cost, but i dont understand if your spending in excess of $28,000 on one day, why you wouldnt just get the whole thing done instead of scrimping on the invites

Hi Nick, I see the point in your example, but think that even that example is subject to interpretation. I think we have beat the dog enough; let's leave it at "you have a stricter view on the subject than I."

Back to some semblance of the topic...
Spending lots of money for invitations...The manufacturer of said Disney invitations pays a lot for the Disney Commercial License. They are also Brand name Invitation makers (Stationers), and any time the word "Wedding" is added, the price skyrockets. This gets us back to the overly sensitive area of "Why did I have to pay so much and you not have to" Well, You get what you pay for. Wedding invitations printed on a PC are a whole lot cheaper than professional ones. Are they anywhere near as nice? NO!!!!!

If you want to do a pseudo Disney wedding on the cheap you can, there is no doubt about it to me.

If you want to spend $20,000 you can do it as well.

Personally, after chatting with you a bit I think Jezabelle mentioned you live in Celebration and could use a park there free or next to that. You could invite some friends over and make it a little more traditional. If I recall She said it was your first wedding and not hers. I wouldn't want to compete or be compared to her first go around!

So to answer the original question...Yes, I think you could get away with it, but do you really want to!!!

:figment:

PS, I was not really upset by your tone, I was just noting it more than anything

yes its funny you say that because the liklihood is that we are going to do just what you said in celebration as its so nice there and we were thinking of doing that initially and alot of people like yourself suggested the same thing.

I also agree with you that we have flogged the whole license debate to death even though there is quite alot of clarity on the issue in a legal sense, however i am a human and i can understand the arguments you and others have made and if im honest with you in an ideal world i would agree with you, however im unfortunate to have a good understanding of the law...(believe me at times it can be a curse as i cant plead ignorance to it....)

I think your also right about not wanting to compete, i always wanted a disney wedding when i was younger but im quite a private person and am lucky Jezzabelle has already done it so w both would like just a small not over the top day which a disney wedding if done to the max would undoubtedly be, although judging from what others havve done from this forum they have managed to make them tasteful affairs.....its funny if you didnt mention Disney how many people would want a mouse at their wedding...lol
