Do you think unused park days will be extended beyond Dec 15?

We were halfway into our trip when the parks closed so we have two days remaining in our tickets. Currently we have until Dec 15 to use them, but with the parks still closed, do you think they’ll give us more time to use them?

I would think they would do that or refund the unused days.

I’d like to think they would but if they open by mid July, Dec 15 would give you at least 6 months to use the tickets. I could see them thinking that’s enough of an extension. Still, Disney has been flexible with certain circumstances in the past, so if you are not able to return before then I’d reach out to them after they’ve established an opening date.

I agree with above -- if the parks open by mid-July, I doubt they will further extend the ticket extension. If the parks remain closed into the latter part of the summer, it's possible. But really, it's a big unknown at this point.

Specific to the OP - with a partially-used ticket, which is really an anomally for WDW to carry that forward -- if you really won't get to use the remaining couple of days before mid-December, I would wait until sometime after the parks have re-opened and call to plead your case. The 2 days isn't likely to get you much as refund -- maybe $20/$30 per ticket, depending on when you bought them. So I'd also consider whether it's worth the time and effort of pressing for an exception.

During Hurricane Irma my sister had a 10-day ticket but was only able to use 8 of those days due to the park closure. If you called Disney direct, they were offering either a refund for those 2 days (difference in price between 8 and 10 day tickets) or a separate 2-day ticket. I would expect they offer similar things to people whose trips were interrupted mid-trip.

I read the Disney site and interpreted that they will allow you to turn them in (at value) for the purchase of a new ticket after 12/15. So, they can get you on any new raised ticket prices in the future...
