Do you think this leaves us enough time?

Get the TGV from Disney to Charles de Gaule at 18.35, land at CDG at 18.45. (Check in opened at 18.25 and closes at 19.45 - flight at 20.25)

How long should it take to get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3? Would this leave us enough time to get through security?

Our other option leaves us getting into terminal 2 at 17.45, so would be waiting until 18.25 before we could even get checked in!

:jumping3: Just bumping this up for you. :jumping3:

I've only ever travelled by Eurostar so far but if the security lines at CDG are anything like Gatwick :scared1: then I would say play safe and get there on the earlier TGV. Just my opinion mind, hopefully others will be able to advise you. :goodvibes

I have only flown from CDG once in 1999 so this was pre 9/11 and extra security and the queues for check in were horrendus. I hate to think what the extra queues are like for security so my advice would be to get there early. It is better to be early and hanging about then to be rushing to make your flight.

We have flown through CDG many times with BA and find it very slow so I would allow plenty time. The security line is always long :sad2:

Sorry for the late reply and the apparent plagerism of another of my posts, but I justed posted on another thread about this and it may be useful for you so I have copied and pasted from that thread here.

This was my first time to DLP with hubby and kids of 5 and 2 in tow so on the way out used the bus transfer from CDG to my hotel, The Kyriad (which is right next door to the Holiday Inn). I had no complaints about the service, but it does take quite some time and as I had to check in at 8.40 this morning for my 10.40 flight, I was really concerned about using the bus service in case rush hour traffic interfered with the transfer.

Yesterday I popped into the train station and booked my ticket on the TGV to CDG, it cost 29 Euros for the whole family.

Bus transfers to the station at Disneyland started this morning at 6.15 and had regular transfers early on. I got the bus transfer from the hotel at 7.47 this morning and was at the train station for 7.57, which gave me plenty of time to get down onto the right platform for the train. Train arrived at 8.12 (seats were reserved for us) and I was at CDG by 8.21 this morning (WOW, super super fast).

The train gets into terminal 2 and I had to check into terminal 3 for my flight. Got the shuttle train between the terminals and must admit it was a little confusing with the signage but had no problems getting to terminal 3 and all in all it took us about 10 mins to get between the 2. However I would point out that anyone who has problems with walking may struggle a little.

I checked in at the airport for my flight at 8.45. not bad going to be at the airport from the hotel door in just under an hour.

It worked really well for us even with 2 young kids in tow.

Thanks for that report - thats helped me loads to decide which way to get back to CDG from DLP. Looks like its the TGV for me :goodvibes !

Hi all

Thanks for the replies. We decided to get the 17.25 train, and got checked in straight away, and straight through security at the airport. Excellent!
Were very concerned at the train station as the 16.32 train was delayed by 1hr 15 mins, but ours was on time thankfully!

The new train system in the airport for getting from one terminal to the next was so easy, and I found the TGV so straightforward this time compared to the last time. Would definitely recommend it, but leave a bit of extra time if you arent sure where you are going (although there are signs). It took us about half an hour to get from terminal 3 to terminal 1, and get the TGV tickets.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions about it.

How many TGV platforms are there at DLP? Are they well signposted? I've bought our tickets for the TGV back to the airport, and we'll take our suitcase to left luggage there in the morning, so we just have to pick that up and head to the right platform.

Couldn't tell you how many platforms there are for the TGV, however the RER and TGV platforms are seperate from each other at the DLP station.

The RER platforms are at the end of the station that faces the actual park and the TGV platforms are at the end of the station that faces the coach station and are downstairs, the trains are also totally different so once you're on the platform you know for definate that you're at the right one.

Hope that helps, and isn't too confusing.
