Do you think this is abit expensive?

Ive just received my first price for our trip In august of next year

2 adults 1 child flying on 12th August,2 weeks car hire(fully inclusive insurance),flying from gatwick £1859.

To me that seems abit steep,what do you think??,im not even sure who the airline is,weve just come back from 3 weeks flying with virgin, and it didnt cost that much!!(I know school hols and all that),but we did actually come back half term week in May.

Virgin wont give me a price yet, so I cant compare.

Really depends on whether it's a direct flight or not and who the airline is.

We have found that August is a very expensive time to fly. Checking on Expedia for this August and the cheapest direct flight (BA), comes out at £1937 for 2 adults and 1 child. This is without carhire.

My husband and I are going to the BCV in August and the flights cost us £650 each with BA. I booked before christmas and I know the price has gone up since then. We booked through expedia with a direct flight and the price is for the airline ticket only. Your price might be about average then if it includes car hire. I would recomend looking at expedia as well as they do good deals.
