I didn't get to ride when they did the rockin Hot Chili Peppers thing last time. Do you think they might do something like that again, cause that would be awesome?
We were able to experience both Rockin Space Mountain & Rockin California Screamin and we loved them both. Does anyone know where where to get the sound tracks for either?
I didn't get to hear any of the rockin' stuff, but I enjoyed the music on screaming as it was! Especially where you get to the really high point and the music just adds to the suspense
It was running this time last year so I am guessing it actually won't be back. While the switch at Scream' was small with just a music change and had decent feedback, they had to do more on SM and had a lot less positive feedback.
Personally I thought the music was fun, but not great. And the bright lights in SM were terrible. I don't think it would be worth trying again anytime soon.
Wait, they canceled Rockin Space Mountain? It was there when I went just a few months ago, but it was that or Fantasmic. I was hoping to make it back someday! I saw a Youtube video of RSM, but it wasn't as good as the real thing I'm sure.

It's been at least a year since they did it, I've been a regular (almost monthly trips) since July of last year and they didn't have them going then. Both Space and Screamin' have had the original music. I don't think I would like the lights on in Space but I would have loved the Chili Peps music!

Yeah it definitely wasn't around a few months ago. It ended shortly after our visit last April.
A hint though, for anyone: If you have an mp3 player, put your headphones on and play the Chili Peppers song for that ride DB does it every time and loves it!
Thanks Albort I forgot that the lights were still there. Honestly I hope even if they change up the music again they won't ever use those super bright lights again they ruined the best part of the ride, "the dark"!!
I thought it was pretty cool for a temporary thing, but I was glad that it only lasted a few months. I much prefer the great piece of score that Michael Giacchino wrote for Space Mountain over some RHCP song, and the projections they used made the building too lit up. A RHCP song was more suited to California Screamin' I suppose, although I would still rather have the original soundtrack for that too. I didn't really like the use of Around the World for Screamin'. I remember feeling that the song was too slow for a relatively high speed coaster.
I talked to one of the operation Guys at the Tomorrowland monorail station and he said they would bring it back for summertime..but who knows! I actually think it added quite a bit to an old ride..they should at least put the glowing orb back in the middle since it went back to "old Space Mountain".
