Do you think they would let us?

We got our AP's this past August but they had trouble printing our passes and we had to leave without them. I called and asked how to handle the situation and the gal said to simply go to the ticket booth when we arrive, show my ID and they would let us in to get the photos done/cards made again.
We have the Deluxe AP's and going March 30-April 3 (bec the weekends are closed to us during this time) do you think they would let us in that Sunday even though it's a black out day? I don't want to have to deal with this that morning :(
Anyone know? Or who could I call?

Not likely since you have had your passes since August but you could always try. But I think you should be prepared to pay for those blackout days. The only way to find out is to walk up and try because the person you speak to on the phone will most likely not be the person you deal with at the ticket counter the day you walk up.

Another vote for not likely. I can't imagine they are set up to track whether you actually leave the park again after you pick up the new cards.

Are you sure you can't get this done at the ticket windows outside the park?

I also think it's unlikely that they'd let you in the park on a blockout date for your AP. It's worth noting that we're all assuming you already activated your AP back in August (so you have an expiration date in August). As far as I know, you would have to go to the ticket booths outside the park anyway to get your official AP, so you can at least get that done without needing to go into the parks.

All good points. We were NOT planning on getting to the parks before the blackout dates and didn't realize we could get our AP passes at the ticket booths :) There was something wrong with our pictures or something the last time we were there. Honestly I have NO idea what the problem was...it was all so vague. But if we CAN get the AP's at the ticket booth maybe we could just go that Sunday/Blackout day and get that handled before the next morning so we don't have to deal with the ticket booths then :)
Thanks for your input!

You'll be able to get your AP tickets at the booths that day, but not get the photo. AP's get their photos taken by photopass photographers in the park.

Actually the ticket taker takes the ap photos now with their fancy little iPhone looking device.

Really? We were there in August and we had to go inside DCA to get our photos taken. If that's the case now, we can get the passes at the ticket booths the day before we go to the parks and then just take care of the photo our first day at the gates :)
If I'm understanding that correctly?

Once you get the APs at the ticket booths they're valid. You might as well go in once you have them.

This would only work if the OP was activating a new AP on a blockout date. From the original post, it sounds like they got their APs in August, but were unable to have them printed/generated for some reason at that point, so they need to pick them up on this trip.

Oh, for some reason I thought that that was someone else piggybacking on the OP's thread. In that case...

Definitely get the APs the night before. Do you have some documentation of the original issue that you can bring so you don't have to pay the replacement cost? Hopefully you won't need it, but couldn't hurt to be prepared. As far as getting the picture the night before, I don't think that would work. When they scan the AP at the turnstile it will come up as blocked, and probably not prompt for a picture. But definitely do the ticket booth business the night before. You could use your AP discounts at DTD, there are not blockouts on those.

AP's are all done at the ticket booths now. Not inside. If you've had an AP before, the photo is already attached from the old one (even if you let it expire)

So now they are back to that setup? Exhausting, all the changes. Why did they get rid of the AP centers...so silly of them.

I don't understand why they didn't give you a physical Annual Pass card before, back in August. You don't need to get a photo for your Annual Pass immediately - the photo is not printed on your actual card, but is digitally recorded in the Disneyland computer system and is linked to your card. When I first got my Annual Pass it took me a week or more to do my photo, just because I was a bit lazy (back then, in July, it was done by a PhotoPass photographer inside the park). Anyway, as suggested above, I'd try and pick up my Annual Pass the day before in order to avoid any waiting in lines the next morning. When you enter the park in the morning they will take your photo at the Park gate :-)

I'm pretty sure you can only pick up you physical pass at a ticket booth outside. Turnstiles only print paper tickets however they will take your picture there whenever you first enter. No more ap center ( that's been years and years) and no more tracking down a photopass person.
