Do you think the word "commando" is a complement or an insult?

I like reading this thread because people keep saying the "go commando" and it makes me giggle

When I hear the words "going commando" I think of Kramer in Seinfeld -
"I'm out there, Jerry, an' I'm llllllovin' every minute of it!!" :rotfl2:

I'm having trouble coming up with a mental image of a commando approach to a Flower and Garden show. :teeth:

:rotfl: OK, now there's a tulip, and there's a rose, and petunias, the UG says we can cut through here and see daffodils...Time! Great work guys. We saw all the flowers in less than 45 minutes. 2 minutes better than last year. :teeth:

I personally feel a 'theme park commando' arrives early, has done some research on what rides, etc, are available, has in mind which rides/attractions are a priority, and has a plan as to how to get through those rides in order to beat the crowds. I guess I never thought of a commando as never taking a break, and never eating at a sit-down restaurant. I do agree however, that I can sleep in at home. I also don't like sitting in a hotel room watching movies or just passing the time while on vacation. Let's go!!!

You took the words right out of my mouth!

What would be a good term for those that don't go "commando" in the parks?

How about "Tighty Whitey"! ;)

How about "We've got 37 trees, 183 shrubs, 461 flowers and 1,289 butterflies to see, and 47 minutes to see them all!" ;)

Its not a good nor bad term. It means what you want it to mean. If you're the type of person that likes to have schedules and plans for your vacation, so be it. If you don't, then don't worry about it. It is just a different way to have a vacation. Everyone is different.

DO NOT stop and smell the roses :rotfl2:

P.S. I'm also having trouble with a mental image of Flower & Garden show and *THE OTHER* definition of "going commando" - you know thorns and poorly-insulated backsides. lol :rotfl:
