Do you think nov waitlist will come through?

Well, we:ve put down our deposit, but haven't closed yet, and I got my temporary membership card and called and tried to make ressies for 11/10-11/16. Pretty much nothing available anywhere.
I'm now waitlisted each day individually, with two days together minimum at BWV, BCV, and OKW. So what do you think? Anyone had waitlists during F&W (i know, and Super Soap) not come through?

What size room were you looking for? I just go.t reservations for Nov 6th to 16th for a 1BR at OKW. Every night was available but one so we reserved a 2 br for that night just so we would be assured a room and went on the waitlist for that night at a 1BR.
I reserved this on the 27th and was told that all of the other DVC resorts were booked. Good Luck!! It just doesn't make sense that nothing is available at the ""slow"" time of year!

We're looking for a studio - either preferred or standard. I was really surprised that even OKW had no availability. Only thing I can thing I can think of is all those "free vacations" when you purchase SSR and yet no units for them to go to....

We've been waitlisted for months for 2 two bedrooms at BWV for the last week of October. We only need one night for one and two nights for the other. I've just about given up on getting them. Fortunately, I reserved 4 studios as backup...just hate having to switch rooms.

FWIW, November may be a slower time for park attendance, but it is not a slow time for getting DVC accomodtions at WDW. That's especially so for the EPCOT resorts.

IMHO, you were lucky to be able to book OKW for your dates. - it's just over 60 days from arrival.

P.S. Hope everyone's waitlist comes through - the best chance comes at 30-31 days ahead of arrival. If members think they might have to cancel, most do it just in time to avoid having points go into the holding account.

Can I ask if you purchased through Disney or re-sale? We are purchasing (hopefully...lol) a resale through TTS. We already put our deposit, just waiting to hear about ROFR.

I was just curious how you got temporary cards before closing. I guess that really is the advantage of buying through Disney.

We are waitlisted at SSR for Nov. 7 - Nov. 12.

MS said that there is nothing right now to be had!

We realize it is last minute, but I just got an opportunity to attend a conference in Orlando the week before this so we decided to fly DW down for a vacation after the conference!

We need all the pixie dust we can get

Yes, although I hesitate to provide details because it's not a done deal and I'm scared I'm going to jinx it, we are buying 150 BWV points direct from Disney for $89.00 per point. This is our first DVC purchase (not an add on) I know that I am probably "overpaying" by some peoples calculations but the advantage is:
1) With my $500 Deposit I got my temp membership card and am already making reservations (or putting my name on waitlists)
2) While we are not doing this, we could have financed the Purchase with 10% down
3) I'm getting full 2004 points (and of course onward to 2042)
4) I will pay a calendar year prorate on MF's (even though I got all the 2004 points)
5) There will be no closing costs
6 ) I got the BWV lithograph and DVC backpack (This was the clincher!!!LOL!!)

If the waitlist comes through for November and combined with using the balance of the points for our Feb 2005 vacation I figure we'll be saving about $1000 that we would have potentially paid renting points. Factoring that into purchasing a resale that might have been a stripped contract brings the costs within a few hundred dollars of being even.

Good luck on ROFR. Let me know the details of your contract. It would be interesting to see how the $$ really play out.

We are waitlisted for 11/1-11/9 for ANY studio. They have encouraged me to book a moderate for those dates instead. The problem is that, if the studio does come up, we can''t tranfer our points. I'd like to wait until the 30 day mark to make a decision, but I don't want to miss out on getting the room at the mod. too. Yikes!! Any advice?

Our back up is All Star Sports and POR with the codes. Maybe you should consider doing a cash backup at a value resort (if you can use the code it's $61.60 incl tx) . We have 4 nights at AS SP and 3 nights at POR for a combined total of $500. I'd rather use points and stay at a studio at DVC, but if I can't, I'm not sure I'd want to use 20+ points for a moderate. JMHO

I currently have a ressie (Nov 2-6) for an OKW 1 bedroom (made back in March) but I'm presently on a wait list for a 2 bedroom (anywhere) for Nov 1-6. I called and added Nov 1 today to my already existing ressie for an OKW 1 bedroom. I called exactly on the 60th day so I could use some "holding" points I had from a cancelled HH May trip. Today, I got the last room for Nov 1.

MS told me no rooms anywhere but hopefully something would open up at OKW since "that is the largest resort".
No studios either---as I would have taken one even if it wasn't close to my 1 bedroom.

There was one more 1 bedroom available for the night of Nov 5 (Fri) only of the week I need. But I'm hoping to be able to upgrade to a 2 bedroom for the entire week----as I don't want to change rooms. I inquired if there were any other studio or 1 bedrooms during my week (anywhere) and the answer was "sorry, no" (oh, except for one 1-bedroom at OKW on Nov 5 only).

It's going to be a busy F&W Festival I suppose.

We cancelled our wait list for SSR and we were lucky enough to get a studio at OKW for Nov 5th and 6th and also for Nov 8th and 9th.

Now we just have to waitlist for Nov 7th.

Hope we will be able to get it, if not we will be going to All Star Sports for one night right in the middle of our trip.
