Do you think lunch TSs take less time than dinner TSs

I was thinking about booking mostly lunch TSs just so if the kids start getting too tired as the day goes on, we can go back to the resort for the rest of the day and not worry about feeling like we have to stay at the park (or return) for a dinner ADR. The only real concern I have, though, is that it will take too long out of the prime part of the day (a subjective notion, I recognize).

In your experience, do you think you're in and out of the restaurant faster during lunch than dinner or does it seem to not make a difference?

We have not done that many TS lunches but we did do WCC this past weekend and it was about an hour, Teppan Edo was about an hour too.....

I did a solo lunch at Chefs and that took 30 minutes but I stayed for the full hour (encouraged by my waiter) to see Remy. My lunch at Tutto took 30 minutes but the server was rushing me like crazy.

I always try to do a lunch TS instead of a dinner TS.... for many reasons.

One of them is it fits our schedule with my now 5yearold DS better to have the main meal be lunch. I'll explain. DS normally wakes up by 7am at the latest. That means pull on clothes, grab a bowl of cereal in the room, and we are off at the park by opening time, ride with little or no lines, and then it is time for a break. By this point we are hungry (I am always hungriest at lunch time!), we have a TS - cooling down in the A/C. Then, pleasantly cooled and full, it is back to the resort for swimming / more cooling down. Wash up, re-dress, and it is back to park for the evening hours.

Having the main meal at lunch time and sharing a CS/snack in the evening is more than enough food for us!! And yes, I do think a lunch TS is over quicker than a dinner TS... but that might be the venue. Not that I mind, because a slightly quicker meal (one where we are not waiting long for food) works best with young kids. The only thing is, we love certain venues (HDDR, Boma, California Grill) that ONLY do dinner... so we are forced to do dinners sometimes. I wish all WDW restaurants did lunch!!
