When you remove someone from your buddy list????


I'm really, really, ONLY talking about removing someone because you don't tend to "see" them online much anymore.....this is not a debate about what sort of place the DIS is, and whether people have left or have been forced to leave......obviously I still enjoy visiting the CB.......


I removed someone from my buddy-list today, and paused to remember all the great posts that person had made, and how they had brightened my day when they were around the DIS.

Yep......I think it's sad too. Things have been changing around here with people coming & going so much that I've had that exact experience recently.

I was just speaking of this yesterday to someone. I have left all my buddy names on my buddy list, even if some seem to have disappeared or taking a long break (and yes, there are quite a few ). I leave them to not only remind me of them, but also they jog me every so often to shoot them off a PM or email (don't know if they get them), saying something nice to them, hoping to maybe hear from them again. If they were a buddy, mom, and you enjoyed their company, maybe leave their name there as a convenient way to drop a note every so often. Just a thought.

I haven't updated my buddy list in a very long time though so many of those names are hardly ever highlighted anymore. We keep in touch, but it's not quite the same anymore.

On the rare occasion that they do pop in, their names under the "Online" column does make me smile.

Slowly adding a new name or two helps...

...and then all those who go "invisible"...that's a whole different thread altogether.

Steph, Dan said my thoughts as well. I leave them there... don't have the heart to take anyone off. I admit I have a huge buddy list now because of that but as lilboo said, it makes me smile when I see them 'online'

I have a huge love/hate relationship with my buddy list. Half of it consists of people who are always invisible....the only reason I have it is so that I can easily pm them. And the other half I change on a whim....no good reason at all.

I go through buddy list phases.....sometimes I want everyone on it....and many times I have no one on it.

Must be me. I'm goofy. I admit it.
