Personally, I think it would be "tacky". (not sure that's the right word) Or maybe I just don't like to share, especially a dinner at Yachtsman. 
But really, who cares what I or anyone else might think. Vacation the way that's going to bring you the most joy!!!! As long as its not taking away from someones experience then go at it.
