We have been home in Australia for about 3 weeks now, and I am pining away for Disneyland! My main hobby at the moment is lurking on Disboards, living vicariously through everyone's trip reports and posts.:surfweb:

Please, could someone assure me that I'll be ok until or next trip ? My kids and husband just roll their eyes and give each other funny looks whenever I bring any Disney topic up in conversation, maybe I have issues lol!

We had the best time when we were there, and I just wanna hang onto that feeling for a little bit longer, there's nothing wrong with that is there???

Nothing wrong with you at all. Or at least I hope. I feel the same way. Not only Disneyland but California in general. We are thinking of going back for Christmas next year.

It's the Disney Magic withdrawal you go thru after a trip ithappens all the time!!

If there is something wrong with you, then we all have it! I was trying to figure out how to sneak down sometime between now and spring break, even though we are going in July. It is a definite problem.....Just do what you have been doing, lurking on dis boards, watching Disney specials, etc. We are here for you!

Nothing wrong with you at all! I'm in Arizona (not nearly as far away from Disneyland as Australia! ) & I just got back from my holiday trip last night...and here I am on the Boards so I can read all about the place I left all sad from yesterday! You'll get to go back soon hopefully, but until then you can come here to get updates all about the magical place we're all obsessed (in varying degrees) with! :wizard:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. We got back from our trip in June this year and I thought I would be okay for at least 2 years. Well, after 2 days I was craving to go back again. Now DD and I are going back with my Mum and sisters in November 2010 for an all girls trip!

To try and quell the feelings I read Disboards, trip reports, Micechat.com and a number of other sites - it helps, a little!

:goodvibes

We arrived back in Australia 10 days ago after 6 weeks in the US - including 2 weeks at WDW and 2 weeks at DL. I'm already trawling the internet for prices for WDW for next Christmas!

DH and our 2 boys think I'm crazy, but they'll thank me once we're on that plane again! (not to mention having a respite from the Australian summer heat).

Hi Liz,
i have the same problem. We went to Disneyland back in May and were planning on going back in 2012. Now I am wanting to creep that forward to 2011 as I so desperately want to go back!

Thanks everyone, it's good to know I am amongst friends!! I feel much better now.:grouphug:

We went to WDW in Jan 2008 and i also had withdrawals coming home.
I started planning for that next trip as soon as we got back for 2009/2010 and now I only have 2 weeks to go:cool1:
Its nice to plan and live through everyone else's trip and before you know it, it will be time to go back:banana:
I am now planning on going to Paris Disney in April and I haven't even been on this trip:laughing:

Lol...don't worry, I think we're all on the same boat here. I went in May and in August and will be going again Dec 24-27. DBF and I got APs this year and we know we'll be going back in July to celebrate our birthdays. I'm actually trying to squeeze at least one other trip in (possibly March or May). DBF thinks I'm crazy but DLR is all that I can think about :rotfl:

Definatley nothing wrong with you. We booked for WDW next Sept/Oct and it was just so far away. A friend was talking about her family going over during the school holidays which gave me the itch. So we booked a trip and left within a week (and we are here now!)

Hi, Liz!
I, too have a severe case of Disneyitis! :lmao: I am counting pennies to see if we can go just for a day when we see family at Christmas! LOL Working on mini trips for a surprise birthday trip(triplets turn 8) in April, Mothers Day (already told family I am going with orwithout them! :rotfl2:, Father's Day, Halloween and then, not renewing our passes in November, and book a trip through Costco for Christmas at Disneyland and then upgrade to passes so the days won't be blocked! :lmao: I love coming to this board and reading how much fun everyone has had at DL. The last thing I do is look at the picture thread before I turn off my computer so I can go to sleep with wonderful images in my head!
Thank you everyone!:thumbsup2

Hi Flitterific:wave: might see you there.
We arrive in LA on the 25th and will be at disney from the 27th.
A little worried about the crowds:confused:

I'm also stricken with a case of Disneyitis. Within a month of returning home from our first trip to DL in Feb/09, started planning for another trip for sometime in 2011. Yep, I've got Disneyitis bad.

Hey Liz
Dont worry I have the same Problem I am here In Tasmania so its that little bit furthur to travel.
I Just got back in Feb and I go again in Feb...:rotfl2:
Im not quite sure how we managed to pull off this trip but it will be all worth it in 67 days.

We gave major withdrawals after being at Disneyland. We spend our time in between trips, checking out forums, collecting Disney stuff on ebay, creating our Disney guest room, watching a Disney movie from time to time. Helps for those loooonnngggg months in between trips. :)

Though I live just over an hour from Disneyland, I can't help feeling jealous of all you Australians who get to go vacation there (and at WDW) for SO long! Six weeks?! What is your secret? :)

Okay, now I know you have a problem, for sure!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: A severe case of the DSE (Disney Snowball Effect)! Wow! Two weeks at WDW and 2 weeks at DLR - all in one vacation? So you just spent a full month at Disney theme parks?? And you have been back home for less than 2 weeks and are already scoping out prices for next Christmas at WDW? You have definitely been bitten by the bug! I must say - as much as a lot of us here say we wish we could spend 1 or 2 weeks straight in DLR alone (not even counting WDW), I wonder how many of us could actually do it when it came down to it. I think once the reality of a 2-week stay at DLR set in for many folks, it would be too much for them or they would get very bored. Some folks get bored after just a few days.

So I applaud you and your family for flying the Disney banner proudly and devoting a month of your life in one vacation to Disney parks! That is true devotion that many locals with Annual Passes do not even have! May I ask - did you stay in Disney hotels in both Anaheim and in Orlando, or did you stay offsite? And did you hit all the character meals in both places? You certainly had enough time to! And did you feel like you accomplished everything you wanted to do in both places by the time you left them, or were there still things left to see or do? I know if I have only been at DLR for a few days, I feel like I have skipped a lot, but after 2 weeks I would probably have left no stone unturned!
