Do you think hours will be extended in May to match current closing times?

We have a trip scheduled May 16-20. Do you think the hours will be extended to match what they are now? For example, Epcot is currently open until 11:00 PM, but in May it's only 9:00 PM. I don't want to make dining reservations in Disney Springs or a hotel & end up cutting our park time short if they'll be staying open later.

No one here would know for sure, but likely you will get a lot of guesses. Even before covid, Disney park hours would change during year. Open longer during peak times or when there was more hours of sunlight in the summer, etc. Might be able to find an old listing showing the park hours in prior years. Matching supply/demand as we continue to move past covid, will likely be a challenge for most businesses.

Yes, I realize that it would just be a guess at this point. Just interested in what others think will happen.

I could be wrong, because demand seems to be up for all dates now, but I don't think so.

May hours have already been extended beyond what have been the "placeholder hours" that were initially posted. The original posted hours for Epcot were 11-7.

I think the 11:00 closing at Epcot has been to accommodate spring break crowds, which should not be a factor in mid-May. Having said that, they have already kept them in place past the heaviest spring break weeks, so they may just become the usual hours for a while. With a June trip, I hope so!

We are also arriving on the 16th & a few days ago on Disney's website they had MK@9pm/ EP@9pm/HS@8pm and AK@7pm! I think there was an11pm closing @EP one night around the 22nd .

I don’t see the 11 pm closing continuing. They are slowly returning to normal park hours. Fireworks are still rumored to return this summer so the 9pm closing is more appropriate. If anything I do see the park going back to its 9am opening time soon.

Yes. I know nothing is guaranteed, but each Friday, Disney has been rolling out their actual hours for another week. They have been posting their base and then updating a week at a time based on capacity and demand. Since most parks are already at their capacity for May and June, I expect this trend to continue. So, look at the hours for the coming weeks, and then look again on Friday and you should see another week updated. Then, you should be able to project when your week will update. 11-13 hours per park each day has been the norm for the past few months with 35% capacity.
