Do you think Disney/Pixar has high hopes for Hoppers?

I heard so much about Disney/Pixar's Hoppers and I think once it debuts March 6th this will be the film that people will have high hopes for Pixar to return to it's old self again. But the way I view it I see that Hoppers will become another Elio or another Strange World but I think Disney/Pixar has recycled A Bug's Life but this time with forest animals and they could've come up with a better storyline. And how in the heck Missy Elliott's hit Lose Control is featured in the trailer for Hoppers is beyond me? I expect Disney/Pixar could've made a better movie in my eyes

Considering Bob Iger didn’t mention it as a release to anticipate in the coming year in the recent earnings call and listed multiple other films coming, I don’t think they have high expectations for its performance.

I think it looks pretty good. I am not sure I share the opinion that it will do okay. Unfortunately, audiences lately won't support these animated films that are not a sequel or based on an existing IP.

I saw the preview in a theater a couple of months ago and it looks not great, but okay. I'm sure I'll go see it because it's Disney, it's Pixar, and I haven't been to a movie theater yet this year (nothing I want to see).

A lackluster trailer doesn't always mean a lackluster movie in the same way that a great trailer doesn't mean a great movie. So I withhold judgment until I've actually seen it.

What I think Disney/Pixar has in store for Hoppers is that with a cast of celebrity voice talent such as Meryl Streep they really think that Hoppers will have a chance because if the movie fails it will be another The Good Dinosaur or Elio

I wouldn't be surprised if the Hoppers characters debut in Disney Parks before the film's debut. Because I can expect Disney to do a whole lot of marketing on Hoppers

They usually have characters from the newest movies in the rotating spots, like at One Man's Dream in HS, but not always.

I cannot figure out why they decided to use Missy Elliott's hit Lose Control in the trailer for Disney/Pixar's Hoppers? Because it really doesn't fit the movie and seems out of place. I guess Missy Elliott thinks that due to Hoppers her song will become a hit again the same way that Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill became a hit once again due to Stranger Things

This is not how music rights work. Pixar wanted to use her song, not the other way around and they got the licensing agreement to do that. You might think it doesn't fit, but they do.

I was surprised to see Lose Control on the preview trailer for Disney/Pixar's Hoppers because as a Missy Elliott fan I liked the song because of the beat. But in general I think Disney/Pixar expects Hoppers to be somewhat of a hit because after the disaster with Elio Pixar is gonna try to fix their mistake with Hoppers

I don't think the timeline works for that. It takes so long to make an animated movie, that they do not have time to make major/significant changes between movies that came out one year apart. They could make changes with advertising/marketing, but not the actual move itself.
