I really miss when I could eat a meal in the castle without the character experience. DS 3 really has no interest in dining with Cinderella, but he would love to eat in the castle. Does anyone think they'll ever change it back to a regular table service ?

Not evict her, but if memories serve correctly Cinderella was available for pictures and signings before you entered the restaurant for your meal. And there was a regular menu instead of a pre-plated one.

they used to have a menu for lunch and dinner not pre plated ones. I wish we would have ate there for dinner before it changed.

I don't see why they would return to regular table service unless the demand to eat in the castle suddenly dropped off and it was attributed to the preplated, prepaid experience not being desired by enough guests.

If Disney sells out the castle (or close to) every night with each patron paying a set amount (enough to cover appetizer, entree, dessert and non alcoholic beverage), what incentive is there to change over to a regular table service meal where you purchase only those items you wish?

no-I don't think they will ever change it as it is a sell out now. why change something that is working?

No -- and I, too, used to really enjoy it before the change. At lunch they served really good rolls and you could order prime rib. But, I don't think it will ever change now.

I'm confused...is Cinderella at Lunch and Dinner?? I was under the impression that it was just the Fairy Godmother at dinner...can someone clarify this for me? I'm going to try to get an ADR Saturday morning for our Oct trip...If she is at both then I will take which ever is available! Thanks!:lovestruc

I don't think that they will change it because the preplated food makes dining turn over happen faster and that means more people that can eat there and more profit for Disney.

I do wish they would return to a regular menu I have dined there once since they changed it and I refuse to pay that kind of money for that kind of food! I have no desire to go back unless they change the menu.

Absolutely not, they just built the BBB boutique right across from the entrance (cha ching!) so all of Cindy's little protege's can get all gussied up before coming to the castle. They have a gold mine and they will and should mine it for a long time to come.

I wish they would, but for all the reasons stated by previous posters, I'm sure they won't. It's a shame, dinner at the castle was one of our most favorite meals. I'm glad DH and I got to do it one more time in 2005 before it changed over to all princess all the time.

we also used to enjoy (non-character) dinner in the castle years ago, but doubt it will ever go back to that now...

At dinner you would see Cinderella before you go in, for the photo. You don't see her while you are eating.
At lunch, you see her and a handful of other princesses while you are eating, in addition to the photo op before you go in.

We ate there in 2005 before it turned over and loved it, but I don't think it is worth 2 TS credits. I vote to evict Cindy!!!!!!!:rotfl2:
