It is beautiful with the lights on, but thats xmas time...without the lights it was a little plain to me....I was still in awe when I saw it recentlys, dont get me wrong.
I remember before my wife and I we sent to Europe to be stationed we went to WDW... it was Dec 96 and I had to leave home with remembering the castle that way. Then while we were living in Germany we took a trip to DLP... and for the five year anniversary there they made that castle into a mess too
I didn't feel so bad knowing the rest of the world had to suffer as well. Even if it was on a smaller scale

Ugh - that's just ugly. The pepto-bismal pink for WDW's 25th was bad too. DLR's 50th had tiaras all over it. That was pretty bad too. I know some people like dressing up the castles - but personally I think they are beautiful as originally designed and don't need "lipstick".
