just wondering do you tell your friends about the dis boards
Had my SIL on to me about Disney last week and I didn't tell herabout here but gave her other web sites to look at
this got me thinking I have never told anyone about the dis boards
:confused3 :confused3 :confused3
I share the quizzes with my family but that is about as much as they are here

I love my Dis boards and friends I've made here
its my way of getting away it all :yay: :yay: :yay:

It's your secret sanctuary then, Jackie?? :goodvibes

I told one friend who joined although she only posts when she is planning a Disney holiday.

And this morning I've been asked to send a link to a friend of a friend who wants to go to DLRP.

Last year, I gave the link to another friend when she was planning a second WDW holiday, she couldn't be bothered to come and look (I think she reckon's I'm mad) but consequently she missed out because IMO she certainly didn't get as much out of her holiday as she could have. :sad2:

Let's face it, is there any help for someone who would rather eat beans on toast in their villa than watch Fantasmic??? :confused3 :scared:  :scared1:

Yes people in white coats tend to help those;)

I told my sister that I am a member and my family know i'm a member of a disney forum thats about it.

I just say I'm going to the states now if anyone asks
because they all think we mad going every year
never told any one we are DVC members

Yes my friends know about the DIS, and they always have that look on their faces like I'm going to meet a mass murderer when I tell them I meeting up with any of you :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Most of my friends and family know and most think I'm mad or have too much time on my hands :rotfl2: They did find it rather strange when I met up with 4 US DISers last year and there are about 50 of us meeting this year so they think I've really lost it :rotfl:

Guess who they all come to if they're going to WDW though :rolleyes1

Same here, a few close frinds know about it, but no intrest in it whatsoever and always say the same thing when I talk about it "Oh Well, She's Happy, Leave Her Alone". But like Jackie, it is my secret hideaway, so I dont tell that many friends and family, otherwise they would be on here and I'de have no peace:)

Ive told only my family and a couple of friends, I know I havent been a member very long but I love it, my DH & DS will say to me are you dissing AGAIN.:)

yep everybody knows i have disney loving friends online, and i'm always directing the whole world to these boards if they so much as sniff about a disney trip lol, and of course now me and michelle (angel659) spend so much time together, we have to explain how we met or when i talk about her i explain. and when i am at the "world" i spread the word to confused people or anyone wearing lime green by accident:lmao: i wasn't kidding when i said these boards are my scond home and family:hug:

When i mention DIS my friends look at me like i really have turned into a loony.

I'v only told my friends who, like me, are totally addicted to Disney and WDW:dance3: Everyone else just shakes their heads when they ask where we are going on holiday, I just say "If you don't want to hear about it don't ask"
You'd think after 10 years they would know by now:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ive told a couple of friends and they think Im mad
DH cant understand why i spend so much time here, but i love it:goodvibes

Yep, me too, i told a couple of friends about my "secret addiction" and gave them the web site but they didn't really bother going on, but like the OP said, who's the first person they ALL call when they're thinking of visiting Florida?.....yes,..... you've guessed it, little old me;) They always wonder why we know so much useful stuff and i've told them where to look but they always end up calling me:confused3 I swear i'm gonna start charging commission :rotfl:

My family know and one close friend but I've not told anyone else.

My work friends already think I'm Disney Mad so who knows what they'd think of the DIS.

Obviously my DH & the kids know about my 'addiction' but I have never mentioned it to anyone else really. I don't think they'd 'get it'. They don't get my Disney addiciton as it is and anyway like some of the others have said it's my way of getting away from it all :)

DH & DS know that I regularly look and contribute to the boards, and they are grateful for that fact, as we have definitely had better holidays as a result.

I have told a few friends, but like some of the other posters, these are friends who are nearly as addicted to Disney as I am, but not quite ;) .

If they want to have a look that is up to them, but I don't think they do. But you can guarantee, if anyone has any questions regarding WDW, they always ask me, because "you are the expert" :rolleyes1 .

I tell a few, people do think I am barking, and if I mention I am off to Glawster, the usual response is oh your internet friends !

Yeah i've spoke about it...they think im a proper nut job! But then they wonder how i come out about random facts and i said 'i learnt it off the dis'.
