Okay I lied my next post isn't Fastpasses because a lot happened yesterday in terms of Disney planning, and I wanted to share it here! Isn't that how it always happens? You write a PTR update, and the next day a ton of new information is released.

First of all @DexLabDeeDee got her presents! :cheer2: You'll see her wearing them in our Chicago trip and on our Disney trip.

Yesterday morning when I woke up (before I realized we were buried under the snow) I saw that ROL packages had been released! I booked one for breakfast one day, and one for lunch another before getting ready to work (remember I like to cut it close when getting ready).

I figured once I got to work I'd decide which day worked best, and then cancel/move them as I saw fit.

However I ended up being 15 minutes late to work. There was just too much snow! I had to pull over on the way there, and keep cleaning my car off with the tiny broken brush I have. But then I slipped and fell in snow :rotfl: The snow was soft, but half my clothes were all wet. I had also pulled over into a driveway, and the owner of the house was a very grumpy older gentleman who came out and was not pleased that I was there. Eventually I made it to work (although I did slide once on the way there), but if I had been farther away than 3 minutes I would've called in. We were open all day and no customers came in at all of course why would they? And now we're expecting more snow...

Anyway once I got there I managed to make the ROL reservation I wanted, and canceled the others. But wait that wasn't the end of the news!

I saw an article that Wishes was being replaced by a new show called Happily Ever After on the last night of our trip. I've never fully gotten to watch Wishes so I'm glad we get to do that one time before it goes. I'm sad it's going because I loved Wishes (and now my night shows tshirt is out of date!), but I'm excited for a new show too. It's probably going to be crowded the night it debuts, but we're going to try and see it anyway. Because I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO CHANGE OUR FLIGHT! I had to book through United not Southwest, but I can always use the points for September. I was finally able to change it to Saturday the 13th. Now we will have to change planes once so it's a longer flight and it gets in a little later, but it's not a bad deal. We leave at 3:30 pm, and the price wasn't bad either. We've still decided against doing Garden Rocks though, I think it might interfere with seeing the new show now anyway.

The Disney site was being pretty stubborn in this respect while I was at work yesterday, but I was trying to rebook hotel rooms with the changes. Adding a night onto the end of our trip was about $276. At a moderate? Yikes. I was talking to Jenna and she suggested a 1 night reservation at a value. I started thinking "you know what value I really love is CBBR at Universal...oh wait!" This will take forever to explain so I'll just write it out: We were doing May 5th and 6th at RPR, then moving to PORS Royal Rooms for 7th-12th. Now we're doing RPR on the 5th (we'll have EP for both USO days that way), CBBR the 6th and 7th (it saves money and I love it there! On the 7th we will still be heading for Disney for the day even though we're at a USO resort too). Finally the 8th-13th...

When I got home and was actually able to book the site was being kind of weird and glitchy. Like if I put the whole trip in nothing was available, but if I did the 8th-12th then the 12th-13th everything was available but not the 8th-13th. I've had this happen before and usually refreshing or searching again fixes it but nothing was. Then I tried the side by side comparison on the prices...WL was only a $140 difference from PORS Royal Rooms for the new dates. So what I'm trying to say is we're back where we started! We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge! (Again)

I'm not thrilled with the moving around (in the USO portion), but since we usually move more than once on a trip I can deal with it. I don't see us changing it again, and I do want to stay at the Royal Rooms in the future too; but I'm excited! (Basically I love going to Disney and staying in different hotels so no matter what the change I'm usually pretty excited).

Also a funny story about booking CBBR: I booked a volcano view room :hyper: it made me laugh because 2 years ago when we stayed and booked the same room category the view was of dirt pit and construction so the view wasn't advertised then!

This all of course also necessitated moving around some plans. Luckily FP day isn't here yet so I can still do that. I'm still working on them so I'll include that in the next post with my FP plans.

So far for September we're looking at the Beach Club and the Hard Rock still!

I also started a Disney/Universal Youtube this week. I'm hoping to vlog our next trip! I don't have very many videos up because I always forget to take them and sometimes I act so awkward on camera; but my goal is to try it anyway! My Youtube is Happiest Haunt.

And finally today I called the insurance with my statement (I already gave one to my insurance, but they needed one too). I found the lady quite rude, and she told me my statement "conflicted" with the police report and the other guy's statement.

tumblr_ojdlno8dN31vvi3bvo2_250.gif

(Me during that call)

Basically the police report doesn't outright state who is responsible so they've found a loophole. But I still get 50% of the estimate which should be enough to fix the damage. She had already told me this in another conversation though, so I'm not sure why she was rude to me and acted like I lied in my statement only to tell me the exact same thing I already knew. (They had determined the liability before we had even spoken).
I love the Sam and Dean gif....I literally snorted when I saw it. Chris looked over and was like, oh.... He knows me too well...LOL!!

I'm finding that people are rude sometimes without even meaning to be....

OMG, we are twins!! My boyfriend and I just did the BOGO $1 plushes at the Disney store AND are re-watching Rock of Love :rotfl2:

Haha omg that's awesome! I wish they played all three seasons of Rock Of Love :rotfl:

Lol gotta love Sam and Dean. I need more gifs from Supernatural.

So true!

Holy Moly! Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl... you've got a lot going on in this trip report lately... with the car insurance people, and resort changing, and ADR changing, and everything else. But more importantly, did I read correctly that you have NEVER watched Wishes all the way through??? :scared1:

They have these amazing banana chocolate chimichangas
Mmm, they have those in a Mexican restaurant around here that we go to often. Love them!

that my sister was playing Ed the hyena in The Lion King at her school. The show was last month and in my (totally unbiased opinion) the hyenas stole the show!
She looks adorable, how old is she? Christopher's school did the LK last year and it was a great production. They end up doing a Disney play every year, this year is Cinderella :goodvibes

May 8-Move to WL
:cheer2:

Trattoria al Forno Character breakfast-?
I hope this is open by May! I'm going to make Steve do it with me lol

Sorry your v-day dinner wasn't what you had planned but looks like it all worked out in the end and your food looks great!
Hopefully all goes well with your car! And yay for tax returns!

I'm hoping for a return of Club Villan on May 5th! If so, we should meet there! Right now we have an ADR for Homecoming and maybe watching Rivers of Light, but that's until they announce Club Villain.
On May 7th, right now we are scheduled for DHS during the morning and Epcot in the afternoon. We were going to do Beaches n Cream for lunch in between park-hopping but now I'm just thinking we should just eat around the kiosks at Flower and Garden before walking back to the Boardwalk for ME. Hoping to get an evening flight out. If there is no Club Villain maybe we should try and meet up somewhere on this day!

We've had that happen before with a restaurant! It's crazy that there was no warning. You both looked amazing though, and your food looked really good!!

Your plans look good...aaannnd now I need to go look for the F&G merch :tiptoe:

Also this was a couple weeks ago, but I forgot to post a picture when it happened. I think I mentioned ages ago (possibly in my last PTR not this one) that my sister was playing Ed the hyena in The Lion King at her school. The show was last month and in my (totally unbiased opinion) the hyenas stole the show!

One more change I decided to make was for September. I really love the Beach Club, but it felt silly to spend all that on one trip when I'm trying to convince Josh to do a MVMCP long weekend. What we could save by changing could easily go towards that. So for now we're in the originally planned resort PORS. :cheer2: @VACamm we'll be in the same hotel for 2 days now let's meet up!

:jumping1:

Yesssss girl! Lets meet up!!! We have Park Hoppers, so I'm totally flexible! :flower1:

Also, your sisters hyena costume was AMAZING!!

Love her costume. It's amazing. When are you going to be there in September? I would love to meet up with some friends from here.

I'm loving your dining choices. Can't wait to hear how you like Sanaa. I'm wanting to try it.

Thank you! I liked how they did the hyenas I thought it was pretty creative since they couldn't do full costumes.

We'll be in Disney the 8th-13th and Universal the 14th-17th. I think we'll have a couple days of overlap!

Sanaa is really good! We ate there for Dine with an Animal Specialist in Dec but that has a set menu so I wanted to go back when there were more choices available. The review's in my last dining report if you want to check it out! The butter chicken is delicious.
Ours are going to be flipped. We will be at Universal from the 11th-14th and Starting at Disney on the 15th. I'm going to be driving down so I'm free for whenever. LOL!!

My son is likes spicy food, but I'm not really. So I'm looking forward to trying the butter chicken.

We have a brunch reservation for May 7th as well! I think that is the meal I am most looking forward to!

Your plans look great and your snack and drink list looks delicious! I also can't wait to try the frozen jungle juice :drinking1

Hi! I hopped over here from ariane's report, and spent my work downtime yesterday and today reading your trip reports and d reports! I love your outfits!

Next up are your Universal reports... Because we'll be going for the first time in September! The same time as you, right now we plan on flying in on the 15th and spending the 16th/17th at Universal, then heading to Disney, but I'm hoping we can come down a day earlier once we get closer.
