The last time we were at Disney World, we had to get our hand
stamped when we left one park to go to another. Is this still true?

Thanks

With the new biometric scanners it is no longer necessary to get a stamp

No hand stamps at the parks. They still stamp at the water parks. You do a finger scan now with all adult tickets so they can tell you used the ticket that day.

but if you have a park hopper it dont matter if you use your pass that day right???? so what would be the point of using the finger print scan???

They don't won't someone else using your pass.

Not only don't you have to get your hand stamped, you can't get your hand stamped. The CMs don't even have the stamps and ink pads. It used to be one of my traditions to get my hand stamped the last time I left a park before I went home. That was my way of saying to myself, "I'll be back!" Besides, what if I got to the airport and my flight was cancelled? You never know-I might need that! I was so sad to learn that I could no longer get stamped, even if I wanted to.
