Do you still get Loews benefits if

you get a discounted rate? I got the Florida discount rate for RPR. It seems some people were told they do not qualify for the benefits if they got a discount on their room and some people did get the benefits.

Does it depend on the mood of the person checking you in?
 
I stayed at the PBH the last week of June 2004. I used the entertainment rate. I got the milk and cookies and was upgraded to a deluxe room. I had a garden view reserved. I am also a loews first member. I really do think it depends on the person checking you in. We couldn't get into our room until a little after 4 so maybe that made a difference.They might have been trying to keep me happy because of the late check in. I have read many posts here from people that were told they could not have any of the perks or upgrades because of their discounted rates.
 
I have a co-worker who was at RPR for a couple days in early July. She booked an Entertainment rate and did NOT get the milk and cookies. When she asked about it, they said she was not entitled to the milk and cookies because she booked at a discounted rate.

I really do think it depends on who checks you in.

I have always received the perks using my Ent. card.
 
It depends on who checks you in and what their attitude is like at that moment of the day. My husband and I stay at the Hard Rock at least three times a year and we always book with a Florida resident discounted rate or the Entertainment rate. Sometimes we get all of the benefits like being upgraded to a suite, milk and cookies, the newspaper and late check-out and sometimes they tell you that since you booked with a discounted rate you cannot receive those things. Hopefully say a little prayer before you get there and the people at the check-in desk will all be in a good mood. Good luck.
 

We used a disounted rate at the HRH and didn't receive nay of the extras. We were told at check in that since we booked a discounted rate, we couldn't receive the free items. I just laghed when tehy told us that and commented I guess those "free" things aren't really free then. I don't think they saw the humor!:teeth:
 
We booked at the Fan Club rate and are Loews Plat. We DID NOT receive any milk and cookies. We were told that you need to book at rack rate to get it. (I asked twice). I was also told that we weren't entitled to any upgrades BUT when we got to our rooms (connecting) we were directly across the hall from where we were last year and had a pool view room. I did get an upgrade. So I was pleased.
 
Just to make things more confusing, we stayed at PBH hotel twice last year, using the ENT rate. I showed them my Leows card at check-in and both times we got the perks, and were upgraded to a Villa room. After our stays (totaling 10 days), to my surprise, I was sent a Leows Platinum card. I think it all depends on whom checks you in.
 
When I was there in June, I received my perks and was upgraded. I had a wonderful view of HULK.

How do you know if you have received credit for your stay? Where on their website does it tell you, or do you have to call?
 
I think u need to call if u have not recieved an upgraded card yet we recieved our gold card about 2 months after our stay we stayed for 14 nights straight through a uk travel agent and it was counted as qualified:jester:
 
I was told when I booked not to expect any upgrades or amenities since I'd booked using the e-card rate. However, upon check-in, they upgraded us from a standard to a poolview and sent not only one but two perks! DH is diabetic and could not eat the cookies so they sent him a seperate fruit basket!
