Do you still get a "paper" ticket when you book fast pass at kiosk

Just need a quick clarification on how you book fast pass at the kiosks.

We will be there next week and will not have magic bands. I understand that we will need to use our tickets to get FP at the kiosks. Trying to figure it out from there. Do they still give you a paper ticket with a return time or do we have to have a smartphone and the disney app to use a FP.

Would appreciate an answer from someone who has used the kiosk. Thanks!

IIRC you do not get a paper ticket. You can use the MDE to look up your times, but not change them. I think people said they saw a lot of people writing their times down.

If you are staying off site at MK and DAK you will use the kiosks to book FP+. They are located throughout the park. You will not get a print out so you can write your times down or take a photo of the screen. I believe at this stage of testing you cannot view on MDE but I could be wrong.

At EP and DHS you will still insert your ticket into the legacy FP machine and get a paper ticket.

I'm pretty sure people reported you can view but not change on MDE.

I was just at AK today. The cast member who helped us suggested we take a picture of the screen. Also, I could not see my fp+ listed in the MDE app.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I appreciate your responses. Really helps "mentally" to know what to expect with all the changes. Think i will make sure i have a small notebook with me to write down our times.

Thanks again!

If you don't have magic bands and don't get a paper ticket, how do you get in to the FP line? How do they know to let you in?

We used the kiosk as we were staying at the Swan. The times were apparently encoded into our cards. We could not use our paper tickets and had to convert them to RFID cards.

Anyway, we had the option of having our schedule emailed to us or we could snap a photo with our phone. I chose to snap a photo.

We used the Fastpass plus at EPCOT, and the only benefit we got was at Soarin'. The other rides were no wait either way. I mean, exactly how much is a scheduled admission to The Land or Journey to Imagination really worth?

Your ticket has a RFID chip. Tap the Mickey head with your ticket and it should turn green. Your ticket works the same as a magic band for fastpass.
