WEll i did - yesterday ordered myself a netbook - my husband paid 3/4 of it - was my holiday gift

Today i went out and instead of getting a regular manicure decided to get my nails wraped and a permanent french maniucre - cost $65 plus tip..got the light concept on my nails..i have to get use to it as i've never done anything but a regular manicure -

I actually feel good!!!

Go for it!!! :thumbsup2 We all deserve it once in a while.

I can tell you I am too frugal to splurge on myself. But my husband has those splurges every month with his pleasure trips.

Next trip he goes on, we get snow.......I will be spluirging on a snow blower. :rotfl:

Yep -- usually in February. January is our tightest month -- it's the after-Christmas, before-tax-refund, 4-birthdays-in-3-weeks month. By the end of January I am so tired of scrimping and scrounging that when our tax refund hits the bank in mid-February, as soon as I get the bills all caught up, I always splurge a little. I'm already planning what I'm going to to do with my "mad money" next month! (hmmm...haircut, highlights, nails, maybe a massage, treat myself to lunch at my favorite restaurant...heavenly!)

Sounds like you had a nice day.

And what is a "nail wrap"? I have had the pink & white acrylic put on my nails for several years, and my nail tech is thinking of trying 'gel' nails with me but isn't sure if they will wear well on my hands.

I think it is the gel. she said its newer and better for ur nails then the acrylic! i've never had either - just got tired of my nails chipping - i also put on some tips - thinking too long for me - will have them cut next time!

For the past 2 years, December has been my "splurge on myself" month, but on a grander, much more budget-busting, scale. Last December, I bought myself a new car. My old one was 10 years old, had 150K on it, and 0% financing and the deals they were making translated into a great time to buy. This December I am remodeling my kitchen, something I wanted to do since I first stepped into the house 9 years ago with the Realtor.
