Do you remember?

The last time I was there was in 1996 and I remember so much of those things. I really used to like the old Ghostbuster show too.

One of our favorite souvineers from back then was making a family video in front of the "blue screen" and we were inserted in certain scenes from around the park, including rides like ET and Back to the Future. A CM would "direct" the video. It was a lot of fun to make. You also could make a "Star Trek" video if you wanted.

I remember that!

I also remember when MCA still owned Universal and you could make your own music video (lip sync) in what is now Studio 54.

I remember those! I also remember there used to be a big hologram picture or mirror or something with ghosts from ghostbusters and if you looked a certain way you could see them.
I used to like the way the place fogged up in the ghostbuster show. my DD wore glasses and they would completly fogg over. I remember she would look up at me after it was over and I couldn't see her eyes. she was so cute. still is. :D

Speaking of GBs, who remembers the first and second versions of the show? I saw both, and I liked the second version (with Rick Moranis's character) better.

I think I remember a change in the show, but it has been a long time. I really need to dig out our old videos. I know I have some funny stuff like the ghostbuster guys and BJ lip syncing and dancing to Madonnas song vogue.
I really miss them playing Movie themes like the jetsons, jaws, psycho, ET, etc.. on the walkway from the parking area. now all they play is stuff you hear on the radio. it used to add a magic to going into the park.

Eventhough it only went away recently I miss the "Boneyard". Props from Casper, Jaws, JP3, Flinstones, and others.

Oh god, I remember the "blue screen" movie -- DH and I hade one made in 1994 with a Star Trek theme. Our youngest DD(2) is mesmerized by it -- she watches it at least 5x a day. She calls it "the Dad Captain Movie". I really wish this was still available because I'd like to make one with our whole crew. ;)

Nothing all that great, but I also remember behind the scenes. One that stands out was from the early 90s was the Home Improvement show, that was so popular. And I do remember the Nickelodeon behind the shows, being interesting.
Funny how when your younger things can look so real. Jaws(now you can tell it's sloppy paint), and the Psycho House, I was afraid to go near it! LOL
We loved going to the stores after Hanna Barbera, and stocking up on T-thirts from Flinstones and Jetsons.
I remember the comminssary, and the Partridge family bus, that was a big picture moment too. I remember waiting for the trams, because you parked so far away.I remember thinking that was a ride in it's self!

Also where the Ghost Busters show used to be, wasn't there a time Michael Jacksons show was there too, or was that in Hollywood?

There used to be a Michael Jackson show at EPCOT called Captain E.O. is that what your thinking of?

Have you been to the US and Disneyland in California? how do they compare to the ones in Fl? we have a chance to go (free air) but I really don't want to travel that far they're not as nice as the ones in Fla. any thoughts?

I don't remember the partridge family bus, but I do have pics of my kids in front of the beatles bus. I don't think that's there anymore either. I'm glad I have pics of the flintstones props, they were soooo cute! :) I really loved the boat from water world, is that still there? I was one of the only people on earth that actually liked that movie. :) (but I was younger than! LOL)

Did anyone mention Dynamite Nights? That was a unique show.

Dark Marauder, I do remember the old ET ride vehicles. I swear you felt like you might fall off the bikes. Not sure I remember it being a spaceship, but I do remember an alternative seat for those leary of the bikes.

Hitchcock was such a great show when the shower scene was acted out. I remember the first time I went after the change, what a disappointment - to me, that part WAS the show.

There are rumors that there will be a jetski show and possibly bring back the nightly boat show.

The first time we went to US in 1999 my husband was asked to volunteer in the Pyscho show. No way he would have done it had he known they were going to dress him up as Mother. It was SO hilarious....I was laughing so hard that I brought on an asthma attack...the entire video is shaking because I'm laughing and wheezing. It is one of our favorite vacation memories.

I really hope that the boat/jet ski rumor is true! That would be great!

I remember all those things too. Thanks for bringing back so many memories!!

Wasn't there some sort of "I Love Lucy" show where they took audience volunteers up on stage. All I can remember is the frantic "chocolates on the conveyor belt" scene....

No, but the tribute still exists.

Shoot I remember when the entire area of USF was trees. I remember going to places like Mystery Fun House and Wet n Wild in the early 80s where, only a couple miles away, USF was just trees LOL.
