Pay toliet's! Mom was over this morning, and before she left, she said I am going to use your bathroom before I leave! Joking I said make sure to leave a quarter on the tank.... :lmao: :lmao:

We got to laughing, and she asked me if I remember what I use to do as a little girl in the public restroom. I said no! She told me that one time I had to go so bad and she did not have the change, so I crawled under the door... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: She said she tried to stop me, but I was to fast!

Mom leave's and I go into the bathroom, guess what I found on the tank? A quarter! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I remember pay toilets, they were a real pain in the tushie! :teeth:

I used to see a lot of kids crawling under the door, yuck, yuck, yuck! Talk about germs!!!!

I remember!!! They had them at our airport, we would go about once a year to send my grandparents off to Florida!!! I can't imagine - as a mom- having to worry about finding a quarter every time for the little ones!!! When DD was little, her hobby was to visit the restrooms of every mall, every restaurant,etc.....

:wizard:

I've been in several foreign countries lately where they are still present. :crazy2:

I remember them at the beach as well. I think it was only a dime. But the women always held the doors open if someone was waiting.

Yep, I remember them too, at Bus Stations they had them too. :rolleyes2

I have a little different memory from vacations. I think we were in Custer State Park and they had pay showers. At the time I had long, thick hair not to mention it was summer so I needed to shave. I kept having to pop a quarter into the machine to keep my shower going. Thankfully we only stayed there one night.

If you ever go to Paris, be sure to have plenty of Euros for the pay toilets. They are everywhere - booths on the streets, in museums, the subway - you name it, you pee in it, you pay for it.

LOL! Yes, I remember my little sister crawling under the door to open it for me. Does that mean that I am old?

They still have them in Italy. I thought it was a good measure to keep the bathrooms clean in public places.

I'm laughing Nancy - do you remember the ones at Crystal Beach? :rotfl:

I can still remember my mom TELLING me to crawl under if she didn't have change. :rotfl2: Now those were the days - now she would have me Lysol wipe the floor before I crawled under, then apply Purell to my hands for an hour before I could go on anymore rides. ;)

My DD thinks I'm making it up when I tell her there used to be pay toilets. ;)

Yep...all around France you should expect to pay to pee. For some reason I'm thinking we had to pay at some places in Germany too.

As recently as a few years ago, they still had them at a boardwalk near me. Pfishgirl or Cookie could probably say if they're still there....

I remember having to pay at the train station in Munich several years ago, but the toilets were very clean.

Would you believe they have these in Hollywood today? I just used one at, I think it was Burger King if I remember correctly, in February.
