I was only 10 years old at the time. My mom told me of his passing as I was leaving for school that morning and I just cried and cried all the way to the bus stop. My best friend thought I was crazy. She was a little Amish girl, didn't have a television and had never even heard of Walt Disney. And even though she teased me because I was crying, I didn't care. It was a sad day! :sad1:

i remember it very well-we were at a friend's house and they kept interrupting the soap operas with news flashes (back in the days of 4 channels). i also remember it cuz my mom got a call from the hospital to come quick-my big brother had been hit riding his motorcycle and broken his Knee cap. it was the day walt disney and my brother's motercycle riding days died.

Considering I was 22 days old, I'd have to say, not really. lol

hummmmm, Dec. 15, 1966. I too was 10 yrs. old. My family was advid Disneyland visitors (every year).........I sort of remember..........very sad day, indeed.

No, because I wasn't born for another 19 years!

I wasn't alive yet, so no.

I was 10 too and don't remember any news coverage, just hearing that Walt Disney had died and assuming that there would never be any more Disney films.
