When my eldest son was young he had scores of
He Man characters.. Skeletor etc.. then came the
NINJA TURTLES..
and THE THUNDERCATS
and THE GI JOE's Lord I think he had a Battalion of GI Joe's..

and every guy had a VEHICLE not a car or truck Mom.. but
A VEHICLE...

We never knew how many of these plastic people were around until he got to be 14 and decided to have a Garage sale..

Oh man.. it was scary to see the amount of money we spent on Guys and vehicles and assorted contraptions...

Oh but he had such fun with all of them and passed most of them on down to little brother.

So what kind of GUYS did you play with? or do your kids play with now?

Happy day!
Joan

-Star Wars
-GI Joe (I had tons, even had the USS Flagg!) :teeth:
-Transformers

He-Man was a little too, uhm, flamboyant for my tastes. ;)

Oh man I forgot about those TRANSFORMERS!!!!!

Do you remember SILVER HAWKS??? I think they may have known a few of the He-men;) ;) as they could also be a little Flamboyant!!! ROFLMAO!!!!

Oh, do I remember He-Man! Early to mid-Eighties, right?

My DS was almost 4. This wonderful woman (Shirley) used to look after him when I worked. Shirley had 2 boys that were a little bit older than my DS.

One day, my son started telling me about He-Man and even trying to sing the He-Man song (all that I remember about the song is the phrase "the force of evil"). Well, it was all quite bewildering at first to hear about He-Man from a 4 year old. It sounded very bizarre!

But of course - in no time at all - we had a lot of those action figures around the house! :)

My girls had transformers too. It was a little bit after my time. I had barbies and matchbox cars and I don't remember what else.

He-Man, Transformers, Turtles.....how about Ghostbusters? They were around later, but still there. My son had all the Ghostbusters toys.

Holly Hobbie, Walking Wendy, easy bake oven, Simple Simon, Atari, and a can of oil so that I had the best oiled bike chain around.:teeth:

Inspired by lil ol me? :teeth:

I'm with Browneyes on this, everything she mentioned, I had. Except the oil can.

My brother had the HeMan, GI Joe, etc...

And Legos, my mom actually still has them all. When my DS was 3 or 4, she dug them all out, put them in lingerie mesh bags, and ran them through the dishwasher, so he could play with them when he visited. I cannot tell you how many times since then, we have 'caught' my 31 year old brother playing with them when he visits. lol

My boys came in around the Ninja Turtle, Power Ranger time:p

Recently saw He-Man and Transformers on Cartoon Network. My boys, 16 & 13 were like, "This is so stupid!" When I reminded them of Turtles and Power Rangers they said, "Hey, those were classics."

Transformers, Care Bears, and Thundercats! I used to love to watch Johnny Quest and Scooby Doo pre-Scrappy Doo!

I remember He-Man (dh was a HUGE fan), I was a Turtles girl (I have a picture from our honeymoon of me and Leonardo when the TMNJ had a show at MGM Studios!!! :smooth: ).

I think it's hilarious that I am now buying my 2 dds Care Bears and Hello Kitty stuff. Seeing the Strawberry Shortcake stuff come back makes me laugh, too! :teeth:

Alot of this stuff is coming back. Care Bears & Strawberry Shortcake are back for girls. I just saw an ad fot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys the other day! It's a riot! I just got Mo a couple Strawberry Shortcake dolls and the first thing I did was take a big whif of her! ;) I loooooved Strawberry Shortcake!

I remember having He-Man toys. Skunkor was awesome. When we found him again, packed away in a box, he still smelled bad. I picked up She-Ra toys when they came out; I even had the big pink castle. Now that they are making new He-Man toys, my fiance has to have them all. My brother got him the new Castle Grayskull for Xmas.
I had some Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake stuff too!
In 3rd or 4th grade, I had Ninja Turtles.
My brother had the Ghostbuster toys, which we both played with; he even had the station house thing with the fire pole.
And last, but not least, I had my Barbie Dolls. Whitegloves built me a huge dollhouse one year! I still have it. It's put away in the rafters for when I have a daughter someday.

Right now ds plays with transformers and beyblades.

We had all of the Fisher Price little people toys. The schoolhouse, the camper, the parking garage, the merry go round, the barn where you open the door and it says "moooooo". My mom still has them at her house and now my kids like to play with them.

I had Voltron. I had all the lions ships, castle, doom ships and the videos. That is my all time favorite cartoon. If anybody have old Voltron stuff is willing to sell it. I will buy it.

I remember He-Man, thudercats, SilverHawks, Mask, GI. Joe.

How about Stretch Armstrong? My DS had one of those. You could pull and stretch all of his parts (well not all exactly..LOL).

oh man.. I forgot about VOLTRON AND MASK!!!!!!

Ah.. what the Cartoon marketeers were able to come up with is amazing!!!!!

LEGOS... Jake is 15.. he Still has his tupperware container full of his SPECIAL Legos that no one is allowed to touch. LOL......

VelvetGloves.. I am ROTFLMAO!!! SKUNKOR!!!!! OH Dear Lord in Heaven!!! We found RAMMAN the other day.... he was buried deep in the closet with EVIL-LYN and SOME BIG GREEN GUY>>

My brother played with HeMan. We still have the complete original set. I was a tomboy, so no Barbies or girl stuff here. I played with Star Was. My grandmother bought me the entire set and bought another entire set and put it away. I had everything they ever made. I also played with Hot Wheels, Tonka Trucks. It's funny to see all the things we watched and played with coming out again. It's all coming full circle!:D

Tinkertoys and lincoln logs. Atari with the Pong game, Pac-Man, Barbie dolls and Easy Bake oven. I loved the Spirograph toy (think that is what it was called). No Ninja Turtles or He-Man when I was a kid.
