Going through a bunch of old papers today and found TONS of Birthday, Christmas, Thank You, Sympathy, Get Well, Congratulations, Thinking of You...etc. cards. Got to thinking that it is a shame to just toss them out, but I really don't need to keep them. After some research I found that you can send the fronts of used cards to St. Jude's Ranch for Children and they will put them to good use. Any of you ever try this? The project sounds very worthwhile! In case you need it here is the addy to send them to:

St. Jude's Ranch for Children
100 St. Jude's Street
Boulder City, NV 89005-1618

I haven't as yet, but DH keeps at me to do so...

one of my friends sends them there every year....I always say I am going to give her my old ones and always forget.....I will have to remember to giver her my xmas ones from this year (and think I still have a couple years worth still)

My mom uses the fronts as gift tags! She uses scrapbooking scissors and cuts the designs out for gift tags!

She then uses the front as a design, and the To and From are on the backs!

I've been known to do the same thing.

I have also used the cards for placemats.
