Do you rearrange the furniture?

There are often posts about where to put an ECV in a hotel room. I always rearrange the furniture to meet our needs for this but heck, I often did so before using an ECV. How about you?

In a moderate I find moving the table and chairs up against the window and toward the door gives me room to back the ECV up to the outlet and give us room to walk by.

At the Dolphin we even went so far as to move the sleeper sofa a few feet to allow the ECV to be parked. I have never had a problem with this or any housekeeping people change it back.

Anyone else to major redecorating when at WDW?

Depending on the layout of the room. Yes we have and do move it to make it easier for us.

We've never moved the furniture, but then again we've never had to. We have an ECV but stay in either a moderate resort with a King bed or a DVC 1 bedroom villa. With just DH and I there is plenty of room. The DVC makes for plenty of room even when our neice comes with

Not at WDW yet but at the last two trips I had to move furniture. There is a difference between getting around a room and being able to have some leeway when moving. In Escondido the only way to the bathroom was around the king sized bed, squeeze between a table and the bed then 90 degree turn into the bathroom while wedged agains the bed.

In Long Beach I had to move the unmoveable bed, ouch. That was my fault and even when I was travelling alone I would sometimes move things to make it easier to waddle around.

We tend to move things around when we go. I've stayed once at a deluxe (Animal) and 3 times at a moderate (Riverside) and once at economy (Pop) and everytime we've had to move stuff around since my wife has to have a wheelchair with her at all times. She can walk but not far distances because of her scoliosis from when she was younger.

At the Contemporary, before the recent rehab, I'd move the oval-shaped table from in front of the sofa to between the bed and window, and move the chair next to the dresser (where the room-connecting door would be). I don't have an ECV or wheelchair, but I think that putting that huge table right in the flow of traffic to the window was stupid.

We rent ECV's in the park for my Mom, so we don't have to reaarange the furniture to accommodate one. But we have rearranged furniture to make it easier to get around the room. Sometimes they put things in the oddest places!

Always rearrange things for my convenience. Always have to move a chair to plug my PWC. Also move things down to my level if they are too high.
