Do you really need a FP+ for Fantasmic?

Is there anyone who has seen Fantasmic recently, without a FP+.
Do you really need one? I didn't include it as one of the "3", and now I'm worried I should have.

If you didn't get one, how long did you wait to get in, and did you get good seats? TIA!

never had a FP and will never get one! the "stadium" holds 5000 people!!

I went a few times in February. If you are planning to attend the first showing, enter the stadium at least 45 minutes before showtime. Standby guests sit on the right side of the amphitheater - CMs begin seating them in the section adjacent to the Dining Area and continue to fill in to the right.

If the standby area is full when you arrive, standby guests wait in the entrance pathway until they are allowed to fill in the Fp+ area 5 minutes before showtime. By arriving 45-60 minutes early, seats in the standby area will be available,

Go on a night when Fantasmic is presented twice and go to the 2nd show. No FastPass needed as the theater is often less than half full.

Save the Fast Pass for one of the popular attractions mid-day.

You can also take advantage of some much shorter wait times during the early performance of Fantasmic. MidwayMania and ToT can become walk-ons late. RnR keeps a steady line until closing time though.

It sells out at Xmas and Spring Break, but otherwise you can usually get in with no FP.

Same here..We gone during Easter many time at prime time..Always did stand by line..Got there 1 hr before to ensure a spot and always got decent seats. I also would save the FP for something else.

The stadium holds 10,000 (approximately, based on 16 inches of space allotted per guest). Just about every seat is good. I'm not big on the standing room.
