Obviously a sign of aging. lol I've worn contacts / glasses for 20 yrs now & I go for an annual check-up. But its to the point, that if its too small, its not worth reading. lol

Lately, I've been having to skip over any post that is not in this size font or larger. Luckily there aren't many, but I have noticed some. Sometimes its just small when someone adds a little something to the end of their post. I just can't read it. And if its a cute little colored font....then forget about it completely. :rotfl:

Heck, there's a poster here (can't think of name) that posts in bold letters all the time. Now, THAT, I can read no problem. :thumbsup2

Any other aging DISers having trouble with the little itty bitty fonts?

I find it troublesome making the transition from normal font size to smaller, especially if in a different color.

The increase in people changing the font size, color, and style is getting out of hand IMO. I have no idea why some people feel their every post should stand out, but IMO it's quite rude.

Lol, I usually post like this, I didn't know it was hard to read to some people...

Maybe I'll start posting like this =]

I don't read it if it is in size one.

I like these kind of posts: Insert random posting object here

:teeth:

LOL, ok, my eyes are worse than I thought. I like it that way too. :rotfl: :thumbsup2

I can see it now. As the DIS population continues to age, only big bold black fonts will have to be allowed. :lmao:

I try...I'm not always successful, but I try....I just have bad eyes, it's not that I'm older than dirt.

I don't mind the small fonts nearly as much as the colored fonts.

I usually skip 'em, too, especially if it's at the end of a long day and my eyes are tired to begin with.

I quite often skip the small posts. I aways skip posts with more than one line of text but no punctuation. For me, it doesn't seem the effort and rather than struggling to read it and resenting it, I just skip it.

I've never understood why people grumble about it, but read it anyway.

I can't figure out why some posters go to the trouble to post when they use small and/or brightly colored font colors.

I skip over them, since I think it's as obnoxious to post in a really small font as it is to use all caps.

I don't have trouble with most fonts. Except the tiny ones and when they are in a strange color that is too light to read.

What I do have trouble with is really really big paragraphs.
I have to skip over those posts, too hard to read.

I guess I am too new, never really noticed small fonts, hope I am not one of them!

I don't know if you would like reading this way, but if you press Control and use the scrollwheel on your mouse it changes the font size of everything.

Yes, it's hard on my aging eyes too.

BTW, I've been meaning to talk to you about your signature... the font is really small. :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL. OK, you got me. :rotfl: I forgot it was like that; I did it so long ago. It was so each trip would fit on its own line. Too many trips. Besides, who reads signatures anyway. :rotfl: :rotfl: How would you feel if I made it small & yellow?

I agree.

My eyes are going too. I had to stop visiting one web forum completely when they "upgraded" and suddenly switched to a small size font. The webmaster must have been like 20 years old with great eyes. :sad2: Being user friendly was not something he had experience with because they never changed it. I wrote an email explaining some people actually have eye problems & cannot read the upgraded font. They actually lost many posters over time. They probably attribute it to other things. :sad2:

In Google email, when I start typing, the font is always set to SMALL, even though they list another font size as NORMAL. I always have to change it, or I can't see what I'm writing. Well, why call it normal, when it's not auto set to type that way?

Someone here posts in small font in a light blue I can't even see. I totally skip over those posts. :p
