Do You Prefer To Call Or E-Mail?

I like to e-mail. I can gather my thoughts a bit better and get to the point. I also like the freedom of writing instead of calling at odd hours...usually quite late. One more thing. For those who listen more than they speak, email works just fine. ;)

Email for sure. :thumbsup2 Nothing worse than phone tag. I write, they answer, all on our own respective timetables.

i'm old skool, still like snail mail:thumbsup2

certified, return receipt if i'm really mad;)

I definitely prefer email or texting to talking on the phone. I don't know why - I've become a little phone phobic lately.

Normally, I don't really like to talk on the phone but it just depends on who is on the other end:)

I've always been phone-phobic. I far prefer e-mail.

Probably since my first phone call to a parent (in response to a msg. from them to call) totally bullied me and questioned why a 7th grader should have to take a foreign language. It wasn't the fact that he questioned the wisdom of the curriculum, but how he phrased if.

I HATE THE PHONE!! Seriously. I only like to talk to my mom, dad, dh and sometimes my best friend. I hate the phone. I'd much rather email ... unfortunately it's difficult to build friendship when you don't like the phone.

It depends. I think it's easier to do most business things via email. I prefer to talk to people I care about on the phone.

It depends on how urgently I need to communicate with someone. If something isn't urgent then I will email. If I need to be sure the message got through I call. I will sometimes IM my sister but I like talking to her, too. Whatever seems appropriate in the moment is what I do.

Ah, I disagree. Just because you don't hear the human voice doesn't mean it can't be heard through your words. In fact, it is a challenge to me to make my voice understood through the words I choose. Letters and e-mail can have 'life' just as much as the sound of your voice. Think of all the people in the past that have built relationships and romances through letters. It really can be done!

Email. I don't like phones. They are an imposition. At least emails allow the receiver the convenience of receiving and responding at their own pace. Phones are no different than banging on someone's door until they answer (or have their doorbell take a message?).

I like to call and make it more personalized. I have taught my kids phone manners and all that so they will feel at ease.

I like email, too, but I prefer to communicate one on one. Of course, if I am emailing someone in another state or with another area code or if it isn't an urgent matter then it makes more sense to email. :)

Instant message. I hate email and I don't like the phone much. Instant messenger is what I like the most.
