do you prefer Morocco counter or table?

i like them both, but the TC is much better in my opinion. Gotta love the schwarma platter with extra tabooleh and tatziki

ok so I love marakesh and am not impressed with counter svs. In my opinion the food in marakesh could be a bit more seasoned for morrocan food and they could try some more elaborate menu ideas. (morrocan food is quite entertaining and interesting) though there food is bland my morrocan standards its very good. and has always been one of my favorites in Epcot.

But to those who do not like ethnic food I woudln't recomend it and say stick the cs sandwiches are much like Gyros and safe for those with a blander pallet.

I have had this type of food many times and am a vegetarian and thought the veggy platter at Tangerine was not good at all!!

I love hummus and found this hummus bland, the lentil thing was disgusting, the tabouleh and couscous were ok when mixed (all I ended up eating) and the bread was forgetable. I felt over all it was expensive ($9) before I got it and a total waste after I finished (what I was willing to eat). Even DH who is not that picky thought it was bad. It was the only thing I ate at Epcot all that day I didn't like.

I have not done Marakesh, but it seems fun. I also want to say this is just my experience, it also may have just been the veggy platter or the day.

Fairycat, what other veggie stuff at EPCOT do you like? Vegetarian hubby is always looking for good stuff, but unwilling to ask for 'special' dishes:confused3

We did a short trip and spent most of our time eating at sit downs or Epcot. You can check out my reviews in my sig. line. I think overall most places sit down wise have at least one veggy option on the menu and even many booths at the F&W festival had veggy dishes. Overall I felt the options were a lot easy to find without making special requests this trip.

I wish I could be more help but we really didn't eat all that much around the parks thanks to V&A and F&W festival.

Wow. I'll have to remember that for our next trip. We absolutely loved the sit down. I'll make sure we try the CS next time. We did Marrakesh for lunch the day after our wedding and the food was wonderful. Very easily one of our favorite meals the whole trip.

We have never tried Marrakesh before but decided to on this trip, ended up there on Christmas Day as there wasn't many options left (the Biergarden was even further down our list). We always eat at TC and like it. The CM who booked Marrakesh said it's his favourite restaurant in the World. We are going for the belly dancing and show, hopefully the service is good because with a good show and service food always tastes better

I've been to both, and prefer the food at the cafe. If you have never been to the TS restaurant, it is probably worth it for the belly dancer and musicians.
But, hand down, the schwarma plater beats anything you can order inside.

Deb

We did the TS this year and it was one of the worst dinners of our trip. The food was so bland, no taste whatsoever! I'll never eat there again!:scared:

I vote for Tangeriene(sp?) too.
I love their food much better than Marrakesh. Just as one of the previous poster said, their food was bland compared to TC. Not sure why.
Plus I feel that Marrakesh was far too expensive for the type of food they serve.

I like the CS place but am still peeved that they removed the awesome rotisserie chicken...it was the best and now it is gone...they didnt even replace it with anything....

I have an adr at Marrakesh on 11/19 for dinner. I booked all my adrs on 5/19, and got everything I wanted, then my flight time was changed and I had to cancel one on our last day and pick one up earlier in the week (dining plan). Not much was left to choose from during Thanksgiving week!

I would like to know your opinions on these entrees:

Mediterranean Seafood Platter - shrimp ragout, broiled salmon and seafood bastilla $31.95

Night in Casablanca - Roast Lamb Meshoui, Chicken Kebab, and Seafood Bastilla and vegetable couscous $31.95

I thought my son and I could order these and try some of everything! dd will be on the kids menu and I'm sure she'll choose chicken tenders. ds10 is more adventurous thankfully.

We ate there last week and we did not like it at all. The food was late, cold, and the bread did not come until time for dessert. It was not busy (less then 25% full) but it took forever to get even the drinks. My beef was tough.

Never again.

Since we absolutely love the food at The Tangierine Cafe, do you think we will be disappointed in the food at Marrakesh?? :confused3
