Once your current contract is expired, do you plan on renewing? I guess I should say purchasing into DVC again?

Nope, if it's offered to renew for the 2 contracts I have that will expire, will let my kids decide if they want to take them over.

Otherwise, our AK contract will have to suffice

We'll also be in our 90's at expiration - if we're still alive, so no for us, too. I plan to sell (if possible) as soon as we are no longer able to travel. Hoping that is still several years in the future, of course.

I remember that once, our guide called and asked about extending our OKW contract. I told him that when it initially expires (2042), DH and I will be over 90 so we plan to buy a couple of Sultry Seahorses, sit on our balcony and expire with our contract. That ended the conversation real fast!

My wife and I would both be 72ish when AKV expires. While that is a long ways off, I'd have to think about it, I wouldn't live to see it expire again, but it would be something nice to give to the kids/grand kids.

Own BWV, OKW and HHI...all 2042 expiration when DH and I will be 69. So. no, I will not renew in 2042. But if any extensions are offered in the next 15 years we'd likely extend the BWV. We turned down the OKW extension. I don't know what we'd do with HHI, if they offered an extension...depends on what the deal was.

Nope. I'll be 82 when the first contracts expire and 94 when the rest expire. I'd be just happy to make it to 94 and see those contracts expire.

Considering we bought when we were 60, that would make me 109 when BLT expires and 91 when our small resale OKW expires, so for me it's a no brainer. Guess it will be up to my children or grand-children to decide what to do with them.

Original Poster here: Ours expire in 2017. Seems like yesterday when we purchased it. I think my husband would like to check out the possibility of purchasing another contract. We will be in our 50's and he feels it's something we can eventually give to our daughter. But, I feel differently. Need to think about college for our daughter and retirement for us.

we'll be in our 90 too. I wouldn't even buy in at this time if I didn't already own. Disney getting to expensive with all the nickle and diming their doing and getting less.

We will be 105 and 106 when our AKV contract expires and then we still have a more years on our BLT and Aulani contracts. So for us no we will not renew.

I think the real question will be if any of our heirs want our contracts and can afford them. Then it will be their decision on whether to renew. And if not that we will sale our contracts when we can no longer travel.

I will be 99 when OKW expires in 2042 and over 100 for SSR so will not be renewing or buying again but know the children and their children will use it to the end.
