do you plan differently depending on who is going on ea vacation?

I find myself planning this vacation differently.
I didnt know in 01 that we'd be returning so often so did alot more detailed planning.
In 02 I actually planned a different vacation - took back 01s plans
In 04 had MIL & DH w/DS & myself so didnt plan as much. (Ended up DS & myself did alot of the parks ourselves anyways - took in alot of the little details. Kid really enjoys that Tree of Life!)

This yr since I know its just DS & myself I can plan as if its a new vacation! DS is older so we can separate for little bits of time, we have twice as much time to enjoy the resorts/parks/ourselves, staying at a new resort, etc.

so do you plan differently depending on who youre going on vacation with?

I do. When my dh is going I try to plan more sit-down, table service meals. Dd and I can eat 'on the fly' so to speak. He likes to always be going, going, going..type A personality. Dd and I can be much more laid back and mellow when we are there alone. This coming trip, dh is joining us for 4 nights, then flying home. dd and I will stay another 4 nights on our own.

Each time we go we sit down as a family and see what everyone wants to do. With the age difference with the kids, 14,12, 6 it can be challenging. So each time we have gone we do plan a little differently.
