We own at BCV and we love it but we've also stayed at BWV and love it too. How many DVC'ers own at both resorts and how did that come about? With their similarities and being so close to each other did you feel "silly" purchasing at both? We have been thinking add-on and BWV keeps popping-up into my head because of the 11 month window for the standard view rooms. Is that enough of a reason? We've also stayed at VWL and SSR and enjoy those resorts too. Maybe I'm just a Disney/DVC nut????

I own at both resorts. The only reason I added on at the BCV was to have access to more points. I love the BWV. :goodvibes For me, the BCV are just OK, but DH likes it there.

If you want GV in a Epcot Resort, then BWV is it. That's why we purchased both places. Yes, BWV GV's are expensive, but if you have a group of 12 and want to guarantee you will all be close together a GV would be perfect.
The standard view points are another reason. You really need to be an owner to even consider getting a SV unit.

Stand. View points puts BWV units at the same points as OKW units so if we were looking to save points or send family/friends for the least amount of points we would have a choice. Choice is good.

Dh and I really enjoyed our Adult only stay at BWV last October and would add the proximity to fine dining on the BW another reason we would choose BWV over BCV for couple trips that don't need SAB to entertain our boys.

We have decided our BCV points are for the 4 of us to use each summer. BWV is for F&W couple trips and SSR and OKW are for extended stays and extended family. This will change when the boys get older, but for now it's working great.

We own at both because Disney did away with pool hopping to SAB. We used to walk over from the BWV's and have lunch and swim at SAB. When the BCV's opened and it was announced that pool hopping would end, we did a couple of add-ons at the BCV so we can get our SAB fix every year or so.

I own both, not really sure how it came about other than that's what was available when I was ready to do an add-on. I'm ready to do another add-on and have considered doing a resale but the 100 free pnts. has my attention, especially since I just found out the 100 pnts. are at your original contract (in my case BWV) which is a bit more compelling. We have only stayed at BCV once (probably not the best use of my pnts.) but will be staying a couple on nights at the end of our stay in June.

How many DVC'ers own at both resorts and how did that come about? I do!
When the BCV started up, I was a CM at TDS and got a discount. I knew I wanted to add on, and since the pool would be closed to pool hopping, I decided to do it there so I could get the 11 month window when I wanted it.

With their similarities and being so close to each other did you feel "silly" purchasing at both? No

We have been thinking add-on and BWV keeps popping-up into my head because of the 11 month window for the standard view rooms. Is that enough of a reason? Yes! Especially if you intend to go at the beginning of December!

We've also stayed at VWL and SSR and enjoy those resorts too. Maybe I'm just a Disney/DVC nut???? Ummm, errrr, well, if you say so, but what would that make me???

The only question you didn't ask is Do you regret it? Honestly, sometimes I do. I really, really like the BW standard view. More than I like walking to SAB. I could use all of my points at BW easily.

We own at both BWV and BCV.

We love BWV for the theming, location, atmosphere..especially at night.

We love BCV for the theming, location, and SAB.

Just this past January spent a week at VWL and loved it also! I find myself scanning the resale sites for a "gotta have it" VWL contract :earseek:

We love our DVC !

We almost added on to BCV, for use of SAB,;but then again, more BWV became available. So we stayed with all of our points in our favorite resort. We stay at BCV during times when we know we will have a lot of pool time and the pt difference is not any higher then the boardwalk view villas. where we usually try to stay, so it is worth it. BCV is a very close 2nd in our favorite DVC resorts.

We bought our 300 BCV points for 11 month window, family trips. We bought our 270 BWV points for girls/adult trips, again for the 11 month window for either standard view or Boardwalk view.

BCV only but would love a BWV add on for BW View ressies.

We own at both as well. BWV was the first of the two built, so we bought there. I love the BC and the YC so when the BVC were first being built, we bought there as well. I do not feel silly, but feel extremely fortunate that we were able to financially buy both.

I want to add-on 60 points at BC to go along with my BWV 150 points for the purpose of SAB for my 3 year old and soon to be newborn. I figure once every three years I'll spend some time in warmer weather at BC, the rest of the time using standard view for BWV.

I think the key is the Epcot/DS area is my favorite, and we love rolling the stroller onto the boat and heading to the parks this way. Our stroller ends up being a portable rolling locker.

We first purchased BCV because of the location. It is still my favorite place to stay when there are special events going on at EPCOT.

When they offered some more BWV points (as a result of the sales center closing), we decided to buy some BWV--mainly for the std view rooms to cover an October or early November weekend visit once a year. This is because we are very fond of the food and wine festival and we can only get away for a long weekend during that time frame. The std view really stretches out our points. We've done the std view rooms for two stays now--we really enjoyed the location of the rooms and I feel like it was a good decision. :)

When DS goes off to college, I expect our pattern of use will change (like going during the weekdays instead of a weekend), but I can see where getting a std view room will be a hard habit to break :teeth:
